I am trying to set the "ColumnHeadersDefaultCellStyle" property to the "GoudyHvyface BT" font and it will not change from the default. I am using Visual Basic 2008.
I have set the property properly with no success.
I have tried to set the property in code, using the suggestions in the MSDN and it kept throwing errors.
How to change the font color of the column header text in my datagridview if the entire column is read-only. I basically use a loop to add columns to my datagridview and then set the properties of the columns. I am sending an XML file via HTTP POST using Visual Basics 2005. The site this is being sent to requires a header containing the lenth of the file (I've got that part) and Authorization. The Aurthorization is to consist of Basic Authentication in the form of "Basic xxxx", where the xxxx = "username:password", base64 encoded. The username and password are provided by the site the information is going to, so they do not match the user's login to the operating system or application.
What is the best way to attach the authorization to the file being sent? Does it need to be encoded and then placed in the header, or is there something that will do it all in one step. I can't seem to find a way to do this as all the information I have found either uses the default username and password, or the authorization is not in the form that I am needing.
How I can set a Textbox or the report header title programmatically at runtime?

The problem here is that this code makes the font, Arial 12 static, and whenever I change the font size, the font always goes back to Arial 12.

In VB6 I would simply retrieve the user font setting from the .ini file, load into variables and then apply to the appropriate control.

When you add a label from the the toolbox, the default font is always Microsoft Sans Serif, Regular, 8. I like to use Ariel as my font of choice. Is there a way to change the default font setting so I don't have to pick the font I want every time? I've looked under Tools->Options->Environment->Fonts and Colors and I can't find it there.

I was able to write to it using:

What I cannot find is how to set the font, and font size. IntelliSense doesn't help. Everything is "read only", meaning retrieve a current value.
