Sep 14, 2011I am trying to create a tool which I would input a word in a text box and it would search the path i give it to look for a word in a notepad file and copy the whole line to a new notepad and paste it.
i did this for now, i am able but i am able to copy all the text from the note pad and put it in a textbox for now..

Oct 6, 2011Im working on an Asp.net / VB.net website and coming from a C# / WPF background things are still a little new to me. I have declared a DataTable like so: Public notificationList As DataTable And I have then used the Page_Load event handler to populate it and bind it to a control on my page, which all works fine

However in another method i need to be able to access this DataTable, yet whenever I do it always appears as nothing. Do I need to be storing this value elsewhere like in the session etc?

Feb 6, 2010Basically, I want to have a database that's lightweight and I won't need to install amillion other things on my clients computers for them to access this.I just need a simple method of reading and writing values so that they're not hardcoded into the program. I could do MySQL (which is what I'm very familiar with), but it doesn't need to be making calls remotely.

when I add a product to the shopping cart it adds it very well but the problem is in the session, it stores it in the server not in the client browser.
so if some body visit the website from another computer he can see the added products on his browser while it should be empty.
Is there a way to save it on the client side instead of the server side ??

Jun 14, 2012Recently I started a project with the goal being to have text that was inputted into a textbox stored within a three dimensional jagged array. The idea is that every time a button is pressed, whatever text that is inputted into the textbox is split into separate elements, where each word occupies its own element in the array. So for example, if a poem were entered into the textbox and the button clicked, each word of the poem would be assigned to a discrete element in the vertical dimension, and each line of the poem assigned an element in the horizontal dimension. After the text is stored into the 3D jagged array, the text should be cleared from the textbox and a counter should then ensure that on the next button press, the new text inputted into the textbox is stored in a discrete element of the array. Below is the code I have written so far, but I know that I am far from having anything might accomplish what I have just described.

May 25, 2009I'm using a pattern of buttons verticle, & horizonal, to produce a 2 dimensional matrix (6 deep, 25 wide .) The sequence is repeating, but offset from horizonal line to line. the values are 1 thru 12. there are corresponding files in the "My.resources." file carrying names related to the buttons. If the "my. Resources" filename is say.., "1,3,4,6,8,9,11,12 " & the buttons pushed have produduced the string "1","4","6" then the prestated file carries all these values, and therefore should be selected. All integers of the textbox list must be present in a "my.resources" file to show the file. There will be multiple files in the resource file that will fit. (My ultimate intention is to show all files that fit, somehow. I'll have to, eventually. I'm still writing this, and changing it constantly. )the question is, "How do I get the computer to link the textbox integers to the resources files? Jun 22, 2010I have created a textbox array based on the number of 'Channels' on another form. This number dictates how many textboxes (and other controls) to add to my new form.
I expect the user to type in their 'type' of channel into each textbox.
The thing I am having problems with is once the user types in the information, how do I access the data and store it for a future form?
