System.DivideByZeroException ERROR (just On Some Computers)

I made a downloader program which allows you to download files from the internet.I made the program using VB 2008 and a pc running windows 7 professional 32-bit. I also tested the program on a pc running windows vista home 32-bit, on another one running windows 7 pro 64bit, and on another one running Windows XP 32 bit. It works fine on all of them.
But today I tried it for the first time on other three different PCs running:
-Windows 7 starter (32-bit)
-Windows 7 Home (64-bit)
-Windows XP (32-bit)
On all three of them it gave me an error right after I click the download button:
"System.DivideByZeroException"
this is the exact error (sorry it is in italian):

The thing is that right now it gives me a problem with the download speed! If I stop the download and then restart it (from the beginning) the download speed get crazy and it goes like 1kb/s, 2kb/s, 3kb/s, 4kb/s, 5kb/s, 6kb/s,.. and so on.The program works fine on four different PCs but then it gives that error on three others! I cannot believe that it just random works on some computers and on some other it does not.
One more thing I would like to add is that the versions of windows where the program works are all in English language while the version of windows where the program does not work are all in Italian. Can this make the difference? If so, how can I fix it? I also tried to rebuild the exe on the one pc running windows xp in italian but it did not help! I also tried to rebuild it using visual studio 2010 but no luck?
I am writhing a program to replace a file in network computers. but the problem is in our network there is 32 bit systems and 64 bit systems. There are different files to be replaced for 32 and 64 bit systems. I have written a program to replace the file.if we give the target of the location (eg \drd001-dsk1C$Documents and SettingsAdministratorPlayerfilename where drd001-dsk1 is the computer name in the network) Is there any way to check if the system that i need to replace the file is 32 or 64 bit
Is there an event that I can handle that is fired when the computers system time is changed?
My program timestamps things, and I want to make sure the time is correct. So when the program starts, I will run a query (SELECT GETDATE()) from my SQL server, and record the difference, in seconds, between the SQL server time, and the time returned from NOW(). Then when I timestamp things, I will just adjust the time. I cannot run a query every time. But, if someone changes the clock on the computer, that would throw the timestamp off. So I need a way to know when this has happened, so I can recalculate the difference.
I developed a Windows application within which I embedded a couple of reports (produced using Crystal Reports 12 version). The application project running fine on my development machine (Windows XP,visual studio 2008, crystal report 2008). i tried this exe into another machine but all manner of problems arose. The main problem is at report loading time, it shows the following error -"could not load file or assembly Crystal decission.windows.forms version 10.5.3700.0 ,culture=neutral,public key token =692fbea5521e1304 or one of its dependencies s assembly the system can not find the file specified."
I have this code that gives me the user logged on name of a remote computer, but if i run the program in certaing computers, it returns with the error "Not Available Due Restrictions" which is set if the scope cant connect...
why it connects fine in some computers and other not..is there something i have to add to the code for it to run fine in any computer

Just got this error in my vb2008 programs when trying to install on other computers (customers running XP and Vista). I am on a Win7 computer and are using MS Access 2007 databases. Up to now everything was just perfect - but now.... Tried to search the net for solutions, but got a lot of mumbo-jumbo I can not understand. what to do in order to supply a set-up program which works.
It read some data from a database and put the result into a word document. In this document is a blanc table with a bookmark to indicate the start position.In debugmode this works fine and after distributing thsi is still working fine.A user called me to say that the word document was a complete mess. I ran the application in production mode and yes it is a complete mess. Because the bookmark is not found, the data will be enterd into the wrong column.When i return to debug mode, the apllication is still correct and the result on the word document is good. Behalf of this, there are users who don't have this problem at all.
I am using VS 2008, Office 2007, and Win7 Home Premium on my system.I have a simple application which should be a breeze to build. All I am attempting to do is pull data from an Access database with four small tables into a data grid on a windows project. Should be simple, set up the data connection, choose a datagrid from the table in the data source view, drag it onto the page and done, right?I can't get it to work. It will all work fine until I attempt to run or debug the project. The data will not show up. The data grid does, but I get this error: A first chance exception of type 'System.InvalidOperationException' occurred in System.Data.dll
As I said, the project seems to build fine, but it will not pull the data. After the initial build I get the message that Windows will show this page in Compatibility View. Is it something with Win7 Home Premium, or a setting somewhere?
I wrote the code below which calculates the length of a line on the form and save record. An error occurs when the programme tries to save the record. It gives me "Cannot perform '=' operation on System.Int32 and System.String" error. I checked the data type of "ID"(int), "Microscope"(Varchar), "Magnification"(int) and "Calibration"(Decimal), and they are fine so far as I know.

I have a windows service written in .NET 2.0 that will run every 5 minutes and executes bunch oracle SQL/PLSQL scripts based on time/validation, it throws the above said error some times against some SQLs, the same SQLs run fine at later point without any error, I have no idea what is going on with the app. I am not sure if this has any thing to do with oracle connection pool as I am properly closing the connections after every SQL execution.

I'm writing an application that imports and tidy up address data into a cleaned, deduped excel workbook ordered in rows with each column as an address field. One of the issues I've ran into is that we sometimes get a workbook where the multiple address fields are held in a single cell with line breaks. I've written code to extract all of this data out of the excel sheet in to a dataset with each sheet as a table and the address fields contained within. I now want to create a new Excel workbook from this data with the address fields in Row and columns the problem I have is I can Open/create the Workbook but when I try to insert a new Sheet (Table) I get an error saying the Workbook is read only....

I have been developing a VB6 app for 4 years. Just this week I cannot make an EXE file. When I try to make an EXE (from the command line or the IDE), I get the message System error &H80004005 (-2147467259) Unspecified error
This error first appear to occur randomly. Steps to recreate:Open Visual Studio and load a solution (some files automatically opened) - this is when the problem occurs Close all open files Restart visual studio and load solution (no issues)Open Exactly the same files again, restart visual studio and load solution so files open automatically (problem occurs!)
However, when trying to narrow it down to a single file (that is automatically opened when the solution is loaded), I couldn't reproduce the problem. Now with all the files open again the problem doesn't occur!!! So it looks like it is fixed - though this happened before and eventually the issue came back.
I think it is to do with one of the user controls with DevExpress controls on it - when the error occurs, the designer displays the error. Though I can't reproduce it at the moment to confirm that.

I am trying to perform a simple bound connection between an Access database and a text box on a form. This is actually Chapter 18 of the "Microsoft Visual Basic 2008" book.I get the same error message when trying to create my own project "MY ADO Form" or the "ADO Form" project supplied from the DVD provided with the book.
