TableLayoutpanel Child Controls - Side Border Not Displaying
Jun 20, 2009
i am creating TableLayoutpanel dynamically and placing labels in each cell..and i given label Dock Property Fill. all or ok But TableLayoutpanel Right side Border and Bottom Side border not displaying properly.
I am dynamically displaying some controls in a TableLayoutPanel. The problem I'm faced with is that I want the controls to be displayed in a specific order, instead of just filling the TableLayoutPanel from 0,0 till the end of the panel.
I have 5 columns and 5 rows.
1st row is for buttons only, 2nd row for combobox, 3rd row for radio button.
I have an application which have multiple tab pages. On of these pages I have a group box with many controls that do something. Now the problem is I want to add exactly the same group box by the current one that can have different paparemeters. This is exactly the way that i want to add comparison capability between to set of parameters.I have more than 500 lines of code that responde to changes of these parameters and does something. Is there any way to replicate the the whole gropbox and use the same code for both and and being able to difrentiate between gropboxes.I think there was an array control in vb 6 but I am not sure if this the best way to do this in vb.net.What is the best way to do this for the least amount of changing the code and wasting time.
I want to create a 2-high, 6-wide grid with labels in the top row and text boxes in the bottom row. Creating the six labels and the six text boxes is easy. Main Question: How do I stuff them into the TableLayoutPanel at the locations I want?I assume that I write the labels as I would any other label, and read and write the text boxes as I would any other text box.Secondary question: Why do all Microsoft's examples do stuff I never need to do, and never do the simple stuff I need to do?
For a winForm I'm building, I'm working with a TableLayoutPanel which has an arbitrary number of Textboxes and two buttons to add or remove boxes, + and -. The + and - buttons appear directly below the Textbox to which the user has given focus like so:
I have a class here that is misbehaving, and I can't understand why.Basically, when resizing to make this Form smaller, the buttons begin to extend outside of the TableLayoutPanel that contains them. This is not ideal. This is not an issue about resizing, my project does not allow resizing the main form, the problem occurs on my form before any resizing takes place; I simply demonstrate that the problem gets worse when resizing here as additional information.
I am working on an ASP.Net website and have a GridView displaying some data,in the OnRowDataBound event I am setting the border of the row for certain rows based on some criteria. This all worked fine when I was testing my pages locally, however when I put these pages within our master page (this is part of a company intranet site) the row borders disappear in IE yet display fine in firefox.
Is there anything that could be causing this? So far there is no CSS style applied that I know of as I set the border inside the event handler like so:
I'm using a TableLayoutPanel and I want to get the control at a specific position in the TableLayoutPanel. I want to iterate over the rows and columns of TableLayoutPanel but this question applies equally if I just wanted a single control at a specific row and column.Unfortunately GetControlFromPosition(int column, int row) only retrieves controls that are visible (that is their Visible property is set to True). This is no good to me as sometimes I want to access a control at a specific position that is not visible and then make it visible.
I have had to resort to iterating over the TableLayoutPanel.Controls collection, and then get the position of each control using GetPositionFromControl(Control control) or GetCellPosition(Control control) until I find the position I want.(I'm not sure of the difference between GetPositionFromControl and GetCellPosition methods as MS documentation is meagre, but I'll ask that question separately).
When I add a control to a TLP in design mode several new properties get added to the control, such as ColumnSpan, RowSpan, etc, which can then be set in the properties window. If I add a control to a TLP in code these properties don't seem to be available. how to set these properties in code if it's even possible?
i want insert a text into tablelayoutpanel cells..present i am inserting with the help of labels i am placing into cells..but it takes more time..so i decided to any other way to do this one.
I have a bunch of controls loaded into the same row/column in a TableLayoutPanel. I only have one at controls visible property set to TRUE at a given time. I want to be able to loop through the controls that specific row/column position in the TableLayoutPanel and test for a condition (control type) and then set this control's property to TRUE and all others to FALSE. Bascially I am turning controls on/off.
I know can loop through an entire TableLayoutPanel like this:
For each control in TableLAyoutPanel.Controls Next
How do I restrict this loop to a specific row/column in the TableLayoutPAnel? Can you qualify where specifically you want to look in the container control?
I would like to display 2 forms side by side. Frm1 will call Frm2. The problem is, if Frm1 is too near the edge of the computer screen, when Fr2 is shown, part of it will be outside the screen. How do I make it so that if Frm1 is near the right-side of the screen then Frm2 will show on the left-side of Frm1 and vise-versa?
I have a series of MDI child forms I page through to present learning material, all of which are borderless and framed within a main interface form. Each form has its FormBorderStyle set to None, and the form's Text property is blank. I am loading each fom on demand, rather than setting up a stack and pushing one to the front, as this is simpler for me with my limited programming experience. The problem is that as each form is opened/shown, the border briefly flashes in the centre of the ParentForm before docking in the top left corner as programmed. I have even tried coding the Form's Load event to make sure the border is set to None, as shown below:[code]This makes sure there is not a brief delay between the old form closing and the new one showing.
I developed a User Control Like as combo Box. But i Can't Show its list in Out side of the Form Boundary..how can make the user control out side of the FORM Boundary like as ComboBox, Date Control etc.... Pls Code in VB6
I have a slight problem With an enumaration of child controls on a form. The following code will not get but about have the controls that are on the form. The controls show that the count is correct but when it goes through the loop it skips over some of the controls. If you run it through the enumeration two or three times it will get all the controls a few at a time. The solution uses two forms, one that has the controls and the other that labels are made and displayed on. The Tx is just a index to add a number to the label.name and rename the label. So each label is identified seperately. This works for all the the controls that are seen in the for each loop.
There are two panels in my parent form. In the right panel there is one list view. The problem is that whenever I load the child form, the child form goes back of the list view. I want to load the child form at top of the list view. I tried to set the property of list view
but I'm finding it impossible to work with the html controls, i.e get their .text value from codebehind, or adding events! better way to replace the html with suitable asp.net web controls or from the codebehind and output it.
I'm trying to create a document that displays a list of items, with details below each item. I feel like what I'm trying to do should be relatively simple, and the answer is hiding under my nose, but I can't find what I'm looking for.
For an example, let's say I'm just listing people, with a child list of their favorite foods.
This is how the data will eventually be displayed:
[Code]...
I'm trying to do this with a gridview control. I'm not sure that's what I should be using. But what I'm having trouble with, is getting the gridview to only list items with a unique USERID. And then using that unique USERID to list each item individually below.
Is there any kind of "automated" way of pulling this off using standard .net controls without going in and manually piecing it all together from the codebehind?
I try to create a MDI child form that should be resizable but it should not have a title bar visible. Is it possible? Or is there a better method to display child windows within a main form than displaying other forms. In this case the panel would be visually better than the form but the panel cannot be set to act as a child like a form.
I have a User control having two panels. one at the top border and second at the bottom border of the control.
The panels contain some buttons on the click of which i want to display some forms. But I want thoes forms to act like children of the user control i.e. like MDi Parent - Child (here parent being User control and child being the new forms which would be opening). Unfortunately i've not been able to find any way of do'in so.
I'm having a small problem concerning displaying maximized child-forms in a MDI-application. Everything works fine on Win. Vista but when I start the program on a PC with Win. XP it doesn't look very nice. I found some similar threads on the internet but no answers. Does anyone know how to display maximized windows in MDI properly? [Code] On Vista the child-form switch/appear really smoothly. On XP you can see as they are being maximized.
I have recently built an N-Tier app using VB.Net 2008. The application is based on Beth Massi's tutorial at [URL] I am trying to incorporate a datagrridview control on a Parent form - one parent (father and mother) to many children. For example,
