TcpClient.Connect With Proxy Server - Conncect - Send - Recive Data Using Tcp Connection With Specific Internet Service
Nov 4, 2011
I found similar forum thread [URL], but he don't have answers. How I can conncect | send | recive data using tcp connection with specific internet service (not web).
i have developed a little application, which send email to me, it works on direct internet / dsl , but when i run my programm on a pc where the internet access has used a proxy server for clients, my application show a error that could not find host, and failed to send email
I have herd that a new type (or old type) of connection when the server connects to the client. Is it really possible to do such a thing with mulit-Servers trying to connect to one client.How would I make one like that O.o.
i have an application, that just connect a website through a proxy server.So i need to find out the proxy server type.Like SOCKS5, HTTP and Is there any way to find it out?
I need a bit of advice. How do I connect to the proxy server using the code on below?
Public Function ProxyServer(ByVal URL As String, Optional ByVal UseProxy As Boolean = False, Optional ByVal ProxyAddress As String = "", Optional ByVal ProxyPort As Integer = 0, Optional ByVal UserName As String = "", Optional ByVal PassWord As String = "", Optional ByVal Domain As String = "") As String
I am struggling a lot with this code I am trying to get to work. I have successfully made a connection with the TcpClient object to two separate remote machines and transmitted data to them. Essentially, I'm trying to connect to Machine 1 on port 80 and send a GET request. Once I send the request I want to keep the connection alive so that the software on the other side can send me data when it is ready. How do I keep the connection open and read data in each time it is made available in the stream? I have tried and tried using NetworkStream.Read and BeginRead to no avail. The closest I have come was sleeping my thread every 30 seconds and then doing another GET request which is not needed. Here is the current code I have for reading from the stream. I know I need a loop in here somewhere:Note: RemoteSocket is my TcpClient object that is connected by this point
Dim serverStream As NetworkStream = RemoteSocket.GetStream() rqst = "GET /Control/Clip_Forwarding_Stream?CameraName=" & URL_Encode(Name) & " HTTP/1.0" & vbCrLf & vbCrLf
I'm using: [URL]. I already have the listener up and running. For the 'client' I'd like to change it to a 'form' program with a text field so i can enter one line of text and then a send button. I know how to drag the field and button over to a form but I'm not sure how to tell the program to use them?

I have an internet available SQL Server 2008 R2 instance that is running normally. Clients connect over the internet from vs 2005 and 2010 desktop applications, without issue. My scan gun application can connect to the local instance (if I'm in my office) but not to the internet instance from my Windows Mobile 5.0 scanning device. Connect string = user id=[Code]. This connection string works fine for the desktop apps. It's not a port issue, I have all the correct ports open.
I have a very irritating problem with connecting to SQL Server/Database. I've created a windows form and connected it to the database on my server (connection string: "Data Source=KARIMOV-PC;Initial Catalog=ApplicationForm;Integrated Security=True")... it works well and without any problems!!But I when I tried to connect my application to the database through internet with connection string "Data Source=190.190.200.100,1433;Network Library=DBMSSOCN;Initial Catalog=ApplicationForm;User ID=KARIMOV-PC\KARIMOV (My computer name and windows authentication ID);Password=;", the "USUAL" message has appeared to me saying."A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server)".
I really really need to understand why my own server "KARIMOV-PC" doesn't work as a remote SQL Server although the SQL Remote Connections and SQL Browser r enabled and running? And Why .\SQLEXPRESS is the more needed/required although I log in to SQL with Windows Authentication, but not SQL Authentication??
In my application i have integrated SMS functionality using HTTP. Due to unstable internet connection, sometimes it so happens that the SMS failed to get delivered. how to queue these unsent SMSs and send it later when the internet connection is restored?
I've been searching for a way to route requests from a tcpclient through a proxy server, but I cannot figure out a way to do so. Can somebody tell me a solution?
I have built a client-server VB.net inventory application for our company which connects to our Server machine running on Windows XP. We have 6 client machines running also on Windows XP that connects to the Server's database. Now, my problem is, "How do i connect a client machine running on Windows Vista to our Server running on Windows XP wirelessly?"
- Is there something I have to alter on the SQL Server Surface Area Configuration?
-Or do I have to change the 'Connection String' on my software application so as to properly connect to the Server from a Vista mahine? If then, how?
This is the error its throwing:"An error has occurred while establishing a connection to the server. When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server) (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 53)"
I've been Searching the Net for hours now, and i can't really seem to find anything clear and straight to the point.
I need to create a Server/Client application using VB.net 2008, it's actually my first time to have a database on another computer. So I first searched the internet for the things i need to make this software.
how to connect wampserver or phpmyadmin localhost to vb.net. I mean adding, searching, deleting, updating, listing of data from the localhost database via vb.net?
I've came across a little problem with my tcp / ip server. My client can connect to it with 127.0.0.1 ( localhost ), and 192.168.0.X, but every remote connection fails to connect.
Here's the connection rituals: Server listener = New System.Net.Sockets.TcpListener(System.Net.IPAddress.Any, Port) listener.Start() listenThread = New System.Threading.Thread(AddressOf doListen) listenThread.IsBackground = True listenThread.Start()
I have a client that wants to connect to his MySQL database using Dial-up/Modem connection. All i know is a phone number. I will be using VB.NET 2005 for this project. We also have a LAN Connection setup to other computer, but some of this computer only uses Dial-up to connect. The LAN connection works fine because i can just use the Local IP to create a connection string.But my problem is how do i get to connect to a remote server using a Dial-up? I know building a connection string require an IP to connect. Do i need to get the IP after a dial-up connection is connected or to i need to use different approach? I have a server and i have 10+ clients, the server has a T1 connection + a dial-up modem installed also.I created a POS system to all the clients, Some clients uses dial-up some uses LAN. What the server do is all the records of the clients POS will be sync to one database on the server in one table. If i'm in the server and and i selected a station/client and click SYNC button all the records on that client will be sync to the server.
I am currently porting (well really totally re-writing) a project to run on WM6 devices. I need to initiate a GPRS data connection (or any internet data connection really, shouldn't matter if its GSM or CDMA) before I can get the data I need (actually sync. a database over the cell network - Sybase via Mobilink) because right now its basically saying I have no network connection when I make the call to sync the db.
If I open Internet Explorer on the device, it initiates the data connection, and I can then go back into my program and get the data no problem. This isn't an acceptable solution however.
