Uninstalling .Net 2010 Professional Trial?
Dec 29, 2010
I have seen a similar thread. But it is not answered. The Auto uninstall tool link given in that answer is not working. I want to uninstall .Net Pro Trial and going to install express edition. can anyone please tell me the order of programs to be removed?. Or please give the link for Auto uninstall tool for .Net Pro 2010.
Note: I have some software which are based on .Net Framework. so I should not remove the Framework. Is it possible to install Express Edition without removing this Framework?.

I finally figure out where I could get the imagelibrary.I downloaded the 90 trial version of Visual Studio 2005 Professional Edition: [URL] opened the .img file with winRAR, did a search of the img file for *imagelibrary*.I was able to extract the imageLibrary from this without installing the trial version. Not sure where it was supose to extract to so I put it in:C:Program FilesMicrosoft Visual Studio 9.0Common7VS2005ImageLibraryI can find this folder in the form design and so far, it's working with my version of C# Express.

I have spent the past week trying to get my copy of Visual Studio 2010 Professional to work on my Windows 7 Professional 64-bit laptop, with no avail.
Every time I try to create a new form using Visual Basic, an error message saying that Microsoft Resource File To COFF Object Conversion Utility has stopped working, and I cannot even run the new form to see if my coding is correct.
I have managed to find that it has something to do with the cvtres.exe file, but after a solid hour of research, I have found numerous others with a similar problem, but no solutions.
I have done registry scans, reinstalled Visual Studio about 3 times and have done many other suggested fixes that have done nothing but waste my time.

Is there a way to calculate BesselI functions in VB 2010 Professional. I have calculated this in Excel but do not want to have to open Excel to do this because my clients use Excel 2000 up to Excel 2010 and the syntax is different. Plus it is slow and inelegant. [code] where CM and NTU are floating point variables.

I'm currently in a situation where I need to uninstall a certain program from a local computer (and automatically install a newer version of that program), because this old version of the program randomly causes my program to malfunction I have found this article:CodeProject: How to list all Programs installed on Computer and Uninstall Them . Free source code and programming help This shows how to start the uninstall program for the programs I need to uninstall, which is a good start. I also have created all the code needed to install the newer version of the program But as this program will be used by users, I want to minimize the number of times the users has to do something. So far the only popup that I haven't been able to get rid of is when the uninstall program is being run how to force it to uninstall without having the program ask for confirmation?

I'm using the following code to pull some of the installed applications from the registry and load them into a ListView:
vb.net
Public Sub UninstallPrograms()
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionInstallerUserDataS-1-5-18Products
[Code].....
The problem is that I need to be able to access the the value of the uninstallString so that I can pass it to the appropriate process. Since that info is in a separate block, I can't directly access it.

I have searched lots of way to make a 30 day trial limit of my program. They say "Use -Settings- in visual basic application for your variables" to save the information about user (like : registered or not registered or when the program expire). (You can see the 'Settings' when you double-click on "my project" in "solution explorer") Does the data which we use with "settings" saved in our program or somewhere in the computer?

I need to know how can I make trial(demo) version of my program. Normally people use date & time to do it. But if user will change his system date I guess it will not work. I need to know the best way of making trial version which will work only 7 or 15 or 30 days. Is it possible to make something like that it(program) will kill all files after passing 30 days

Just today I've completed a trial version of my application - I then uploaded it to my webserver, and to my surprise a user already (almost one hour after I uploaded it) bypassed the protection and used the software 8 times (instead of the limit of 1 use)!
My "protection" was pretty weak. After the program has been used, it just writes a value to a single registry key. The user just deletes this registry key and can use the program once more, and so if someone does this enough times, he can use the software for as much time as needed.
Anyway, since I'm not really experienced in programming, do you guys have some nice working and possible easy to implement trial protection? I'm not looking for anything too serious, but it shouldn't be as easy to bypass as my current protection.
