Upload A Large Excel File And Process Asynchronously?

I want to upload a large file of tracking numbers and process them into our ordering system.
I used to use Server.ScriptTimeout = 3000
It worked until we upgraded our servers and now it crashes.
I'm Getting This webpage is not available The connection to www.YourSite.com was interrupted.
I could see the .csv file has been uploaded, but many tracking numbers do not get processed.
I'm thinking of maybe switching to a asynchronous update. But I cannot find any good source for it.
If you have any good ideas, please let me know.

I am trying to upload 2 large files to a ftp server by uploading as one file to a location. I have it working if the files are small but it crashes with large files.

I'm trying to upload a large file (over 50Mb) to my webserver but my app hangs when trying to close the stream. If the file uploaded is larger than 50Mb then the .Close() causes it to hang - no error message at all - however a file less than 50Mb succeeds.
What do you suggest to get around the fstream.Close() hanging my app?

I would like to upload files using the ASP FileUpload control. However, if I try and increase the limit to about 10000 kB, it doesn't work and accepts files only upto 4 MB in size and I get an error saying that the connection to the server was reset. I referred: [URL]..but when I modified the web.config.comments file, nothing happened. Where am I going wrong?
Also, I wanted to know how this would work when I deploy it on the web server. I'm asking because in the code behind, I'm still giving a hard coded value for the path where the file is to be uploaded. How does this work?

I want to use BULKCOPY to upload an excel file to an sql database. The sql table has two fields whose values are not in the excel file but also need to be updated as they indicate the source of the data and the date on which the upload was done. The source is selected from the drop down menu on the form. Is there a way to append each record in the bulkcopy upload with these additional fields at the same time as you are uploading the excel file? P

I would like to learn, to view the excel file from our vb.net. When I try to display the Excel file through the process, suppose if there is no process for excell.exe, [means not opened any excel file or excel.exe is not running in task manager] then that file can be viewable smoothly from following code.
But supoose previously any excel file is opened means, then its giving error like "Object reference Not set to an instance, use New Key word....." Also when i try to kill the process for excel.exe, it will kill the other opened excel files also.

A text file exists on my server machine which is constantly being updated (about once about 5 seconds). On my web page, I'd like a div to display this file live using jQuery inside MVC.
I have the jQuery timer working already, but the file isn't displaying. My plan was to get the jQuery to load a Controller Action every 5 seconds and have this action return a FilePathResult.

I need to access the current instance of MS Excel. To do that, I wrote the following code:

The code runs nice, but it has a problem: After the user close the Excel application (click button X - note: no other instance of Excel exists), if you open the Windows's task manager, its possible to see the process Excel.exe.
If I open and close the Excel application, there is no process Excel.exe, but if I run my code with the Excel application openned, after the user close the Excel application, the process Excel.exe isn't finished.

I'm using vb.net to create a large excel spreadsheet, im collecting the data from a mysql database, i have retrieved all the data and have all my data in excel.
The idea of the spreadsheet is that it is never seen so excel_app.visible is set to false.
i can get the excel spreadsheet to print and close using:
excel_app.activeworkbook.printout() excel_app.ActiveWorkbook.Close(False)
the problem I have is that i need to print the document in landscape.

When I load my solution and compile it after first starting the IDE, everything works as expected. After changing source and recompiling, I get the following compile error:
Error 11 Unable to copy file "objDebugCAMDRS.Library.dll" to "binCAMDRS.Library.dll". The process cannot access the file 'binCAMDRS.Library.dll' because it is being used by another process. CAMDRS.Library.
After closing Visual Studio 2005 and reopening the solution I can compile again successfully. This is an old solution that has been fine for a long time. I just recently changed computers and reinstalled everything.I am running win XP Pro sp2, Visual Studio 2005 sp1.

My program writes to a .txt file (and this is the ONLY program that writes to it) in a thread (with lowest priority), but every now and then it gets an error "The process cannot access the file because another process has locked a portion of the file" when it executes this code: swLog.WriteLine(sPacket).Other program reads from the file, not write to it, why do I get this error, and how can I get around it, or what shall I do when I get this error since I can't write to the file ?

How can i access a file through FileStream which is being used by a window service. Actually i am trying to access a file which is also being used by our window service. I need to read data from this file. I am using below code but also getting following error:

I am working with saving and deleting images. The process cannot access the file 'C:UsersJoshuaDocumentsTest1.txt' because it is being used by another process.Now the Problem. When i step through my code, it will do as intended, e.g. clear all contents of test1.txt. when i run it at run time it throws this error. The reason for it throwing an error is the text file is reading string, int, string, and the txt file has a string including in the int part, so i'm making it so you can empty a corrupt file.
