Right now, I am working on taking a self-updating excel sheet and building small html blocks from the sheet which will fit into a JQuery list sorter and image viewer (tags and tags ). The problem I am running into is that by placing the code onto the page in a literal the html is never placed on the page, it is generated on the fly, thus the JQuery handler can not hook the tags and the sorter does not function. I know there is a way to add variables from the code behind with <%=var%>, but I need to add a large number of variables that will change as the excel sheet updates, which is why I am using a code behind function to generate a glob of instead of rewriting it constantly.Here is my current Code behind function that generates and inserts into literals:

I want to create a notes app for Windows Phone 7 using Visual Basic.I have read a few tutorials but they are all suited for C# not VB. Basically, I have a main page and a page to add notes. Once the user types out a note on the add notes page, the title of that note appears on the main page. I also want the user to be able to select that title and it will display the note. I have done a bit of research and I know I will need to use isolated storage (not sure how to implement it in VB) to save the notes. I think I will also need a list box that will store the title of the notes.

how a gridview in Visual Studio would change a page title on a web page. When the page is first opened, the title is fine. When you start scrolling the grid, the title changes to a number that appears to be the number of pixels moved. Numbers are 0, 14, 28, 42, etc.
View 1 RepliesI currently use SiteMapPath to generate a breadcrumb for my ASP.net 3.5 (vb.net) pages and it works great.
Now I am trying to figure out how I might be able to use the same control to build a dynamic page title (in the tag). I want a reverse path listed, but the SiteMapPath control includes links and bunch of styling spans. Is there any way to remove all of that, and just get a plain path with separators?
For example, Let's say we are on the "Press Releases" page inside of the "About" section of my site.
The breadcrumb shows up as:
Home > About > Press Releases
I want to have the page title be:
Press Releases - About - Company Name
So I need it to reverse the order, drop all spans, links and styling (since this is inside the tag) and drop the root node "Home" and then add the company name to the end. Since my menu nav and breadrumbs are all driven from the sitemap file, I thought it would make sense to try to make the title do the same.
Have experimented, but none of them has worked.

Is there any way to parse a string in vb.net (like, built in methods), that can do math like Eval can? For example, 3+(7/3.5) as a string would return 2.
I am not asking for you to code this for me, I just want to know if there is a built in way to do this, if there is not I will code it myself.
I can wager that it would not be able to parse stuff like Sin(90) on its own, and I understand that would need to be replaced by Math.Sin(90).

I'm trying to make a program using httpwebrequest that will grab this long string off the website using regex then decode this and put it in a textbox. I know how to accomplish the first two parts how I could decode this in VB.
Does anyone know of a solution using the internal webbrowser, to grab a sites <title></title> tags?
As for now I have in my browser something like:

Hence showing the URL in the forms text, but I would need to change that to a sites title

However, I now want to add additional functionality where any user can go in and create a template which would be run when every synch has complete which would save as an HTML file. I've set up whole thing. Information is stored in a backend XML file which is processed when the synch completes. However, I want this information to check delimeters in the string and process it as code.

View 1 RepliesI have a repeater which takes 270 seconds to render and actually ends up crashing all browsers. The SQL to retrieve the data takes about 10 seconds. I wanted to remove the Eval's to see if that speeds up things a bit, but I am having trouble with the correct syntax. I have doubts that this would actually improve performance as I am dealing with 150,000 records. Would a GridView or other control be faster? Would using LINQ to SQL improve performance? [url] The method works fine but due to its comprehensive layout its not that fast (as i need to call it myriad of times) Does anyone have a SIMPLE, FAST, straight forward math expression method? Or anyone knows how to use the old EVAL method in VB.NET?
