The title says it all, I made a .GIF in Photoshop, how do I apply it in VB? It is very detailed .GIF, made from 152 frames, I worked hard to make it and I need to use it in my program. My code can't be shorter than it is now:

I was wondering if there was a solution to replacing the tab control's tabs with custom tabs made in Photoshop. I know there are plenty of super expensive programs that can do it, but I was wondering if there was a way to do it programmatically. I was thinking that maybe it could linked in some way with a .DLL?

But to keep it easy, I want this app to create a small picturebox on form to show the thumbnail of downloaded image. Lets say a 5 pictureboxes has to be added with the thumbnails to show the recent downloads. A user can save the location where he wants to save the files on hard disk. A listbox or a dropdown menu will help in categorizing the images, like image1 in friends section, image2 in family section, image3 in others, etc... When the program restarts all the latest 5 thumbnails has to be loaded in pictureboxes and the directory that was chosen. Finally, a button that shows the downloaded images into original image file size one by one or a slide show. Is it possible to make such program?

View 5 RepliesI have a program that will get a hash of the image but the problem is that I have to do to manually.I have a set of images of a folder names images(C:/images/) and ill be choosing which of those images i want to upload to my database.So far I got my program to work with database and such, wat I need is, if its possible I but the folder path on OpenFileDialog and I was a image to show in Picturebox1, then if I press button1 it will go to next picture.

4. I've been working on an application for a week now, but suddenly I can no longer access my Design View(Shift-F7). All my codes are written on the [form name].Designer.vb. I can still view my codes but I cant access my form layout. On the solution explorer, my forms no longer have the 'form icon'. When i press Shift-F7 nothing happens. Right-clicking the form on the solution explorer doesn't show 'View Designer' option. How can I fix this?

View 6 RepliesI am developing an application toolbar to be used with our companys CAD software and I have this portion of it Reading the lines of a text file into various comboboxes and such. However, if there are only 12 lines in the text file when I click a button to update and apply the new information i get an error because the file is already open. I need to figure out how to make sure its closed before WriteAllLines kicks in.

I'm creating a form which is basically an image in a picture box that I use the graphics object to do drawstring's and drawimage's upon.I keep track of where I'm drawing these things so that I can click on them later and do various things (launch external apps - whatever).Is using a picturebox and the graphics object the best way to approach this.

View 2 RepliesI have a DGV bound to a data adapter. I have a button that loads a form with a reference to the DGV row. When the form is loaded, it has a TextBox to type a value, that modifies one of the cells of the row. When the form closes, the cell.value is properly modified, but saving the DGV doesn't save the new value of the cell to the DB table. I'm assuming this happens because the DGV hasn't had physical interaction. Also, this particular field is a password field, so the whole column is being hidden from the view.It seems that a DGV change is noted by physically clicking in a cell and it stores some data telling the adapter there have been changes. The thing is, this is done on a per cell basis, and only if the cell has been clicked. Well, this cell is hidden, so even though the value will be changed, you could never click or select that cell.Is there any other way to force the DGV to accept changes made to it from outside actions of just assigning the cell.value from a button click and not phsyically changing it in the DGV?

I'm making a video editor program and I'm getting kinda stumped at the save portion, I've worked with openfiledialog so I figured save would be sorta the same. What I'm doing is adding files(music,videos, and pics) to a flowlayoutpanel. I just don't know how to save those controls made at runtime, this code is my import code. I have a MS Access database file that I can view with a DataGridView, but I can not save the changes made. User should be able to modify data, and when pressing the "Save" button, these changes should be reflected on the database. I have it creating both, but when I try to set a font on the label, it disappears.

I have a class with many structures and each structure contains variables and im trying to add to my program a way to save the data of that class object with its structures and everything is that possible? I tried manually making some sort of save but its taking too long and proving way too hard for me. Is there a way to just convert it into some general object format and save the object? Is that possible can you just save undefined objects without having to create a format manually for that object?

A wound care doctor takes a picture of a persons hand on a flat bed scanner. The nice pink palm print is there but it is surrounded by blackish pictures. I want to make the picture pop by programatically "removing" or recoloring the pixels that are in the blackish range. i.e. the Photoshop magic wand select and delete.I have not code to start off. Hoping for some reference code and not just pcode.
