Nov 30, 2011I am currently creating a windows form app with a database.The database hosts links that the user can customize.When I go to publish the file, if user A changes the Link to their liking user B also see's the changes and will cause a clash if user B does not need the link that user A has put it.
I wish to be able to have a unique database for each individual and for the life of me cannot figure out how.Currently I am having the person upload to an access DB. This is not required but I am lost for ideas

Background: I need to create a user account and Modify it's registry before the user logs on the first time. Creating the account is done by using the Winnt provider (works great). To create the profile I'm trying to use Process.start to launch a process as the newly created user. With the use of loaduserprofile property the users profile gets created and i can do my regwrites without problem.

1. Asks the user type his/her email address into a textbox.
2. When the user clicks the "Evaluate Email Address" button, one of two message boxes pops up: "That is a valid email address!" with an "Information" icon, or "That is an invalid email address!" and on a second line, "Please retype your email address.", with an "Exclamation" icon
3. To be considered valid, the email address must -include an "@" symbol, and -it must end in either ".com", ".net", or ".org" or ".edu" (I don't know how to check a string and test if its last four characters end with any of these and make it say not valid email address. I think I might have to use a case statement)

Dec 22, 2009I am creating files and then allowing the User to browse through the files via a ComboBox. I decided to name each file the current date. In order to create multiple reports each time the application is ran, each report needs a unique name.
The idea is that if they run a report once a day they'll have a unique report each day. But, then I realized that it is feasible that User could run a report more than once a day. So, I decided to create an integer and increment it each time the report has been ran. Then append the file name with that integer. So, report one of that day would show something like this:
12-22-2009_1 and so on.And this works just fine. But, if the user decides to close the app and then run the report later that day, the variable has been reset and no longer works as needed.I'm using a StreamWriter to create the file.
