I have created a for loop the validates a user account. however whenever i hit the button that starts he code it won't let me allow user input. I have checked a forums and other sites and its bugging me. i know its small but i don't know what i need to be doing to get out of the loop

I have several text boxes I need to validate. I am not understanding how to validate in Visual Basic 2008. So I deployed standard If Statements to handle bad data. I am having two problems.
Lets say the user entered wrong data, example, numbers; an error message is displayed. The text boxes cannot contain numbers, be left empty or contained characters, like !@#$. The problem is if the user enter text, and then entered a wrong data again the code does not work or display error message. How can I make the conditions so that they throw out error message even if the user had previously entered good data.
Another example: If the user enter good data in text box 1 and bad data in text box 2, the error message does not work.
Finally, how do I filter out characters to allow only text. Is there a way to use this code on multiple text boxes with out writing the entire code for each form control?

Background: I need to create a user account and Modify it's registry before the user logs on the first time. Creating the account is done by using the Winnt provider (works great). To create the profile I'm trying to use Process.start to launch a process as the newly created user. With the use of loaduserprofile property the users profile gets created and i can do my regwrites without problem.

Getting some errors with a loop. It's a log-in app that has username, passwords & account type stored in a SqlCe database. I would like it to sync with a larger database for updates that has not been made so i left it out but I have started to make a loop that would connect it to the larger DB and if connection failed would try a set number of times before stopping the program. I'm coding this project with Visual Studio 08 pro

I don't have any code written as of yet but here is what I'm trying to do...Suppose 'JOHN' is the user of computer 1 and I wrote an application that accessed his ccount...particularly some folder within his 'JOHN' name....obviously when I code it I would use the 'JOHN' name...PROBLEMBut what if I want to use the same application on another computer with another user's name (eg. I'm trying to copy a file to "My Documents" folder via VB.Net. But my problem is that I don't know how to set the path. For example on my computer the path looks like this:
"C:Documents and SettingsArithmeticaMy Documents".

I am looking into programming an application that detects noise levels. If the level is over a specific threshold it will lock a logged on user account. The idea behind this application is to reduce noise levels in a busy IT suite. What i want to run is that if i press the "execute" button, it will look for a word than can be create using these letters ( e.g COMPUTE )
