when i connect my digital camera (Canon) to the computer i can see it in the windows explorer root folder but i cannot access it using the System.IO.GetDrives() function. Is there a way to access my digital camera programmatically ? I mean via windows explorer i can , why not using .NET ?

I am generating a report to Excel and each group in the report needs to be on another worksheet. The number of groups can vary on each report. I have set up my headings as a template on "Sheet1" in the Excel workbook. Part of this headings is a picture of the company logo.I use this to copy the headings and create the next worksheet and then paste the headings onto the new worksheet.[code]"ColRow" is a public function used to set the Column and Row for Excel Ranges "i" is an interger keeping track of the sheet we are working on.And it all works perfectly except that the company logo does not come with during the paste.I would really like to know how to bring the company logo across as well.

I'm attempting to copy a rather complex form from one part of my project and use it (modified) within another part (ie, depending on whether it's maintenance or an outage, you'll get a slightly different email screen).
My first attempt failed miserably, as I had simply right-clicked and pasted the form within the project, assuming renaming the controls would work. nope, I didn't realise that there was stuff in the original form that was renamed as well, and that created a monstrous pile of errors.My second through fourth attempts also failed, generating errors in forms that (I thought) weren't related or connected. Once I deleted the copied form, all was fine.
So, short of trying to rebuild the form from scratch (using a different naming convention for my controls etc.), is there a simple way of doing this? This seems to be such a simple task, but alas I was wrong....(or, at least it's not easy with the information I have right now.
how to tell VB to take two images and blend them together. Similar to how Windows 7 does it's wallpaper fade when it switches wallpapers. For now I found the program Image Magick can do that with the composite command. I'm trying to do something like this:

What would be the best way of doing this?I understand that I should create a ClassLibrary and put my resources in that, but how should I expose those resources to an external program and how should I reference and call the dll from my exe?

In my case I have files saved that store info on football plays for a play creator program. Can I use the image of that play as what the user will see when he searches through windows explorer?
Let me further explain with an analogy: photo files in windows have their images displayed as the user cycles through them; he chooses which one he wants to doubleclick based on the thumbnail image of the actual photo. I'd like to have a "photo" of the play itself shown instead of what is now just a blank generic grey icon for the play files that I save.
