VS 2005 - Display DataGridView Records And Save To Table

I managed to displayed records from two tables in one datagridview and the first column being a combobox. Now, I would like to get those records displayed and save it to another table. this what I did.

I have a table called tbldebt which I am trying to use the binding navigator to display only records that match the curent username the following code works but displays all users records?

i have a problem in displaying records between two dates...i have two datetimepickers to choose date from datebase...start date and end date..when i choose start date 1/1/2009 and end date 1/12/2009 then all the records between 1/1/2009 and 1/11/2009....the records of date 1/12/2009si not shown...date format is month/day/year.....i have posted my code below..

The problem is when i insert a first key(dix) records its coying fine. But when i insert the second set of records in is sorting int he table. but when i looked at the dataset by using gridview the recods appears in a right order. but the updated table is somewat sorted order. Is there any possible way to insert the records in the same order in the dataset..

What should I put in the DisplayMember and ValueMember? If I will not concatenation, I just use "LastName" and "IDNO" in my DisplayMember and ValueMember respectively then records get to display in my combo.

I have created a database with a couple of records to get started, also I have attemted to implement the database in my forms. I want to add, delete, edit and save new records into the database so when I use it or re open the program the entered data will still be there. Also, after I have implemented these things, I would like to be able to import data from the database into textfields or comboboxes. I have a basic email client and I would like to import these contacts into the datafields. However, I will be trying to achieve that later.I am trying not to use the data connection wizards as I am learning the code as I go along. I have been reading up on databases for about 2 days not and i'm still struggling.This is to add contacts with the fields.I have 7 labels with text boxes, using the naming convention lblFName or txtFName etc;

I don't know whether to use datagridview, listboxes or something else to display the records.This is to give you an idea of what I have done so far.However, I cannot find a way; despite my best efforts over the last 5 days to link the database that is located in the same folder as my program.If anyone could point me in the right direction on how to code this into my program, or post some links of which I can read, learn and understand the code.
My code below will save records to my database as long as all the parameter have values. One of the parameter is @MI (middle initial), however, there are times that student have no middle initial so when I click my button I get error. I want to still save the record even if one of the parameter value is missing.

i'm making a utility in which i'm loading 100,000 records again and again, problem is that it takes much time to load records in datagridview every time.
i've used data set and data reader both but same result. if i use paging then there's will be a problem of search a record on keyup event.
I have a database with 3 tables: Student, Unavailability and Duty.The fields for Student are entered in a form I have. One of the fields in Unavailability is filled by a form, the other fields are an autonumber and a foreign key to the Student table.ow I want records in the Duty table to be created and automatically filled in depending on what the values of the fields are in the Student table.For example, If the Boarder field in the Student table is 'yes' then I want the Duty Number field in the Duty table to be '1', '3' and '4'. If it is 'no' then I want the value to be '2' and '5'. I recognize it will have to create several different records to incorporate the different duty numbers for each StudentID. Obviously this will require an if statement, however this is my first time implementing a database with my limited experience with programming and Visual Basic, so I don't know how to refer to the specific fields in a table and set the value of other fields depending on the data in other fields.
