i have a treeview filled with directory structure, now want to drag some file name from treeview and drop it to GridView.
i tried with the Item_Drag event it works for drag only...but GridView's DropOver event doesn't work what can do ?
I need to drag and drop to textbox from tree view. Here while drag and drop to text box i need to add the dragged text to anywhere in the text box which we have already dragged some nodes here.
For example.in treeview i have "node1" and "node2"now i am going to add "node2" to textbox and in front of "node2" i need to add "node1" and then at the end of "node2" again i need to drop "node1" like that.

I have looked through the internet but I am having difficulty sorting through all the information available (I see a lot of information for Visual Basic 5 and 6, and those codes don't work for me in visual studio 2008). I can email anyone my code I have so far.

I need to load this menulist from table to a tree view. As if they are in the Menu Strip. That is Sub Menus Should Come under Appropriate Main Menu upto 4 levels of sub menu i use.
In the attached program, I have 3 listviews.
1 is Source Invoices
2 and 3 is Customers.
When I drag something from ListView1 - it stays there, and turns a different color to show it has already been assigned. It stays in the list. This is what I want. When I drag something between 2 and 3, it should delete from the source and clone to the destination. It does this when I move 1 at a time, but if I select multiples (try 5 records) it does 3 of them, then the source list gets an error:
System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
If I highlight all 5 items in list 2 or 3 - then select the top item as the item to drag across, it seems to work.
If I highlight all 5 items in list 2 or 3 - then select the middle item as the item to drag across, it seems to NOT work.
I have tried going from top of list to bottom. Then thought, since I am deleting rows, maybe I should start at bottom and work up. Same thing?
Here is my situation:
I have a TreeView (TreeView1) on the left part of the screen with computers, then I have a list of files on the right side in another TreeView (TreeView2). I would like to drag a file from TreeView2 to TreeView1 and copy the file from the local machine to that other computer.
Now I have the code in a separate function to do the file IO, so all I need to know is how to do the drag and drop..
I want to select a node from my tree view, whatever I select is going to get a record from my database, I need a unique ID in each node so it will collect the correct document relating to the selected node.
How can I do this? the name of the node maybe used more than once? Each row in my database has an ID and Title, the title is the name I guess the ID being unique needs to be tied in somehow.
I want to select some user from list of user(listbox1) to another listbox(listbox2). The listbox1 contains the userids which is from a access table. If i move from listbox1 to listbox2 with the default values it is working fine, but when i try to do the same which is loaded from access table i am getting error. Since I clicked on subfolder1 i was expecting the msgbox to display D:Folder1Subfolder1 but unfortunately the msg box doesnto even have the name of the node i clicked on but when i use selectednode.text I get the correct node text. Anyways why isnt my full path working. I then tried manually designing the entire scenario using tree node editor and the code which i mentioned above works. But whenever i populate the trr programatically the above problem starts.

(1) I am including two pictures of competing race cars at the staging area and a short track to travel (makes the assignment more interesting). I would like to know if it is possible to provide an animated light sequence of the Race Tree (staging lights, 3 sets of amber lights, and the green light) with a timer activating the start of the race.
(2) I would also like to incorporate a "sound" track of a race car as the two race cars proceed to the finish line. I realize that the user may enter any distance for the race. Regardless of the amount of time it takes to run the track (if given a long distance),I'm going to calculate the total time to span just 15 sec. Again, I would like to know if it's possible to incorporate these two
separate modules into my program using the Window's form application?Also, what resources should I study to gain knowledge on how to
