I have a problem using LVIF_IMAGE as a mask to the subitem, the icon is drawn but the icon's transparency is disregarded, that is there is a square around the icon when it is being drawn. And I would like to be able to draw multiple icons in the same subitem and apparently LVIF_IMAGE will not be able to do that.I have been searching for other means and learned that I could ownerdraw the subitem like the following. ok Here is a little code I've been working on, now what I want is for the same icon/image to be shown for each item in my listview box. I want it to work kinda like when you have a group of images in a windows explorer folder and you press 'tiles' they each have the same icon indicating that they are an image. I am trying to do it the same way I produced my thumbnails so to speak but it doesn't work, it still just only shows the file name. I have created a project that uses a listview associated to an imagelist (LargeImagelist, I have set the size as 100 x 75 and 32 bit depth), that displays information from a database along with an image from the image list. My listview is set to tilemode so that I can control the size of the tiles to get two columns of six. The image list is populated when the form is loaded from all the images in a specific folder, this part is working appropriately as I can get a picturebox working consistently that references an image from the imagelist.

So I added the image to the ImageList belonging to the ListView, however when drawn, there is a partial white circle around the image. View 10 RepliesI did not do anything at all but I just noticed that my 2005 solution files are defaulted to 2003 so I used "Open With" and ticked the "Always use this program..." and selected the 2005 even and it is now being opened with 2005 but somehow the icon still shows the 2003 icon, why is this and is there anything I can do to revert it back to the 2005 icon?
The only thing I did was to download and install the latest BOL of SQL Server 2000 which I am not sure if it affected any setting for VS. EDIT: "Restore File Association" did not do the trick.

View 14 RepliesGot an annoying issue it's Visual Basic 2010 I changed icon where the assembly name.I got a good icon it has lots of sizes, or I tried diff sizes like 64x64 128x128 nothing seems to work I only see the icon when i do View > Details so it's small icons in the folder, but if i have view large icons It doesn't work. I even used the same icon on VS 2008 and it worked.
