I am using the 2005 Power Packs Print Forms, I need to hide the filetoolstripmenu in order to print because it come through on my client page So I am using filetoolstripmenusitem.visible= false, then calling print but i think its happens to fast so part of the filetoolstripitem is still coming through on my print image Is there something i can do to pause it for a second?

Millspaugh). but this one is making my head want to explode. please point me in the right direction with this.
Heres the problem. The company has instituted a bonus program to give its employees an incentive to sell more. For every dollar the store makes in a four-week period, the employees receive 2 percent of sales. The amount of bonus each employee receives is based upon the percentage of hours he or she worked during the bonus period (a total of 160 hours). The Calculate button will determine the bonus earned by this employee, and the Clear button will clear only the name, hours-worked, and bonus amount fields. A Print button allows the user to print the form. Do not allow missing or bad input data to cancel the program; instead display a message to the user.

I am using this code to print a screen shot with the Adobe PDF printer driver.
It is all working fine except it also captures the printing dialog in the screen shot
There is a hide button on the dialog but it prints before i have the opportunity to select "Hide"
I also cannot find a property to use the hide option.[code]..
Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone knows how to do these from a simple text box. i.e. 'TextBox1'.
I'm just learning VB and it's only a simple text editor but I can't find any good sites or posts that help me in understanding how to do it. These are not really covered in any of the 'beginner' books I have acquired either.
When user clicks on a button on my form, it sends the datagridview on that form to another class that [basically] does a bunch of stuff and shows a dialog with a print preview. Everything works perfectly fine, except that if a user switches around columns it won't print them in that current order. For example, if user moves the LastName column before FirstName column, then it should print in that order, but it prints in the column order that the datagridview was originally loaded. The dgv1, is the datagridview that was originally loaded, not the current one. [Code]

View 6 Repliesam planning to write a simple program which reads two binary files and apply a simple math function ((file1-file2)/(file1+file2)) then outputs the file (file3). Then the user selects the file (file3) outputted as an input and the program again reads the file and apply another math function ((file3 - 0.2) / (0.5 - 0.2)) to it then output the final file (file4).I would like to eliminate the user input or at least minimize the user input. In other words, the user should execute the program once at the beginning and the program should do the rest. Basically there will be 2 form applications in my program. I want to make it automatic in a way that the program will select two files itself (the user should not select) then output the result and then takes that as an input and applies math function etc.My problem is that I do not know how to start the second form application after the first program ends because the second form application inputs the file which was outputted by the first form application.

I make the following steps:
1) intercept the Form LOAD event in "BaseForm"
- Instance the class "MyClass", Assign public property "ExternalObject" = Me
- I do a RaiseEvent "MyEvent" in "BaseForm"
2) "MyEvent" is triggered BEFORE in "MyForm"
3) AFTER "MyEvent" is triggered in "MyClass".How Can I Raise event Befor in "MyClass" and then in "MyForm"?
i am working on a college project in visual basic 2010. in my program, i noticed at the last minute that i needed to add a "main" window. in this main window, i want to have all my other forms opened by buttons (i know how to do that part of it).
the problem i keep having is the window with the options to save the information pops up, not the main window. is there a way to easily fix this? maybe a snippet of code, because the only way i can think of is to scrap the project, start over from scratch adding my main window first, then the others.

I am successfully hiding a combobox, based on the selection of another combobox. However, I can not get the label of the combobox to hide as well. The code I am using, which is basically the same code for hiding the combobox itself returns the following error:

I want to hide an item in a combo box with out changing indexes of other items..the collection of the combo box is hard coded. ex: if I logged as a username ABC then combobox shouldn't have a item called ABC and want to remain other items' indexes as previous.
i can't use cbxOption.Items.RemoveAt(index) becouse indexes will change.
Been a long time since my last thread but here we go.I'm using VS.NET 2010 Prof Beta at the moment and I'm trying to list all Nic Cards and their settings into a text box. I succeeded with a script from the web (which had an error in the first place) and some adjustments to it.
It lists all hidden devices too (as to be shown in Device manager: Show hidden devices) I worked my way around it and let it jump to next if it doesn't have a IP address, but I find this a bit clumsy and want to really skip them if they are hidden and not just the way I did this now.
Plus it still does show the same NiC (different name, same MAC#) in the list because it has an IP, but in Device manager this one is hidden.[code...]
With vb.net can I hide my .mdb or other files (shall may be with the option of irrespective of operating system).

The next task, I would like to see only a certain info on that web-site which acts like a table serving as special informational news for me. So, I don't want another things to be appear on my loaded web-site. I need to hide html elements, so that don't appear on my loaded web-site. Now that other form has two buttons , next and back , and it shud take me to the previous and the next form. And I want to preserve the states of each form. What I did was that I instantiated the Form2 class in the click event of the next button : [code]That does the job of showing the second form . View 6 RepliesI have noticed that whilst in the past using MS Access you could have a primary key field on a form and have it not visible. You could still use it for Dlookups etc using the value in the field no problem even though it is not visible. In Vb if i hide a textbox that is bound to a PK field in a datasource and try to use its value in code i get an error. Making the field visible again prevents the error. My goal is to use a PK bound textbox not visible to the user but still read its contents.
Also, what is the equivalent of a simple DLOOKUP in VS2010? EG. You have the PK and want to know, say 3 other pieces of information from the record based upon the PK you have.
is there any simple way to hide "generating .." while print previewing or printing document for VB Net
