must use DAO to connect to the database so that you can expose the attachment field properties. When I try to open the DAO recordset I am getting "COM exception was unhandled by user code" with a message stating "Too few parameters. Expected 3". The error code is -2146825227 and the stacktrace message is "at dao.Database.OpenRecordset(String Name, Object Type, Object Options, Object LockEdit)"

Dec 15, 2009I am having a problem with something seemingly basic and typical. However, I have tried and searched for many hours, I could not find a solution. I am using Visual Basic in Visual Studio 2008. I tried to bind a textbox to a numeric field in an MS Access table. When I enter an number to the textbox, sometimes it would be converted to another number when I tab out of the textbox. For example, if I type '123456.78', it would be automatically changed to '123456.781', '123456789' would be changed to '123456792'. The wrong numbers are stored in the database too. Black Jack Game - Display Value In Textboxes When Buttons Pressed

I have buttons 1 - 13 (A-K)
I have 5 Textboxes which when the above buttons are pressed displays the values in the textboxes.
I also have one more textbox which adds up the values of the above 5 textboxes to give your Black Jack Total.
The problem I have is if an Ace (11) is in one of the textboxes and the Total Value exceeds 21 I need to have the Ace (11) change its value to 1 instead.
textbox 1 - 5 will be the card values
textbox6.text will be the total Value
I have tried......
if textbox6.text > 21 and textbox1.text = 11 then textbox1.text = 1
This seems to work fine however it only solves the problem of an Ace (11) appearing in textbox1.text so i tried to repeat the code with the other boxes...
if textbox6.text > 21 and textbox1.text = 11 then textbox1.text = 1
if textbox6.text > 21 and textbox2.text = 11 then textbox2.text = 1
if textbox6.text > 21 and textbox3.text = 11 then textbox3.text = 1

However this does not work and my program freezes?

TheNumbers have a 1 to many relationship to a customer. Each number must then be verified against two separate reference files, and if the numbers match the description related to the number will be displayed.I'm just learning visual basic. I've made the changes manually (yuk-this took forever); I've tried various string/conversion commands; I've taken the data and placed it into excel and tried to manipulate it, without success.In this case is always numeric. In another field, similar problem, it's a combination of text and numbers.
Example: Cust# TheNumbers
99 1234; 12345678; 123123; etc...
88 87654321, 345654, 98989898. etc..
The numbers can vary in length and quantity. For each customer each number must be loaded into one field.
Example outcome:
