Aug 11, 2009I have a query in Access 07 that identifies the following fields: ContractID, status, start date and end date. For each contract, I've been able to search a network share and upload its corresponding file; however I need to skip the import and write a record to a table for contracts with the same start and end date. I've included a placeholder (in bold below), but how do I make the date comparison work? Do I need to create a multi-dimensional array for that or can it be done with the code I have?

Using the tip from here, I'm populating the selected grade's ID, HazardType_ID and Code. Unfortunately, I want to display the the HazardType, and not the foreign key index. For each contract, I need to go to a directory and search for a file to import. That part works just fine, but how can I put a qualifier in to check for contracts that have the same start and end date? Do I need to create a multi-dimensional array for this or can I use the query I have? The part in bold text is where I need to identify identical start/end dates. Comments identify pieces to be developed and message boxes to help me confirm what's happening as I run the code:

Some of the columns in the GridView have text boxes, as well as Checkboxes.When the user saves the page, the page may error if they have not entered their data correctly. How can i set a specified order in crystal reports for categories.I have for example 3 categories namely 'Recipe', 'Plain Spices', and 'Horeca'....The crystal reports shows them in ascending or descending order but i want Recipe data at top, then Plain Spices and Horeca in the end...!!How can I achieve this in my crystal report that has already been made?

Mar 30, 2011I download a file into access. One field contains one to many numbers always separated by a colon and a space: I have no control over the download. TheNumbers have a 1 to many relationship to a customer. Each number must then be verified against two separate reference files, and if the numbers match the description related to the number will be displayed.I'm just learning visual basic. I've made the changes manually (yuk-this took forever); I've tried various string/conversion commands; I've taken the data and placed it into excel and tried to manipulate it, without success.In this case is always numeric. In another field, similar problem, it's a combination of text and numbers.
Example: Cust# TheNumbers
99 1234; 12345678; 123123; etc...
88 87654321, 345654, 98989898. etc..
The numbers can vary in length and quantity. For each customer each number must be loaded into one field.
Example outcome:

Sql Server - Linq - Limit List To 1 Row Per Unique Values Based On Value (minimum) Of Single Field
May 3, 2012I have a stored procedure (I cannot edit) that I am calling via linq.
The stored procedure returns values (more complex but important data below):

I am trying to limit this list to rows which have unique Dates and unique quantities in LINQ. I want to remove items with the HIGHER priority leaving rows with unique dates and qty's.
I have tried several group by's using Max and order by's but have not been able to get a result.
Is there any way to do this via linq?
