So this C4F P2P Toolkit allows for creating chat rooms, file sharing and media players etc, however I cannot find a way to edit the main look of each control. They look hideous and I must make it look a little more modern. How to change the style of the containers.

My app works fine on the development machine and 3 other machines. However, some machines just show the main login box and then fail to show the main screen. There is no error message. I installed VS 2008 express on on of such machines and when i compile the project, the following errors appear:

I am using multiple forms to create the interface for an application. The main form of the application is the only 'form' used. I am kind of stuck on how to copy the controls to a panel created on the main/different form.UC1 is a public usercontrol, so I don't have to reference every control individually later. mp3ctrl is a public control variable.[code]I have Listbox1 on mp3form. I created a new instance of a transparentlistbox control I have in Form1_Load. When trying to set size/location to Listbox1.size/.location, I get the error of Listbox1 not being declared/inaccessible.I thought by creating new controls on the main form and setting the properties, I could reference the control through the .name, especially since the control has been added to the main form.

I have a main form, a separate plugin interface dll and another separate dll. Now this is my problem:I'd like to access the properties of the controls of the main form for manipulation in the other dll.

Main form have label control I define properties in the interface Plugins.dll from Data.dll I load Plugins to read the label control from the mainform.The question is how can I do that?

View 2 RepliesI have a project (Written in Visual Basic, using Visual Studio 2005) which has several user controls. I have had no problem setting it up where you click a button and it load a user control, but I cannot get it to remove the control that is currently open. For example The program opens on a starts screen, which has the choices, Control1, Control2, and exit. When you click Control1 button it should open up a screen to display an inventory. It does this just fine, but it does not close the main menu screen.

View 2 RepliesI'm rewriting a VB6 application that used the Windows Encryption Toolkit and Blowfish encryption. Does anyone know if the Windows Encryption Toolkit exists for .NET? I would use a different type of encryption if necessary, but we have 2 programs where I work. Users encrypt files with one program and send them to us and we use another program to decrypt them. I'm worried that if I don't use Blowfish encryption again, users will send us files encrypted with AES for example and we won't be able to decrypt them.

I have an application I am converting over from vb6 to vb.net 2.0/3.5. Using Subsonic 2.2 and the vb.net Interop Toolkit 2005. Cannot seem to get the .net form using subsonic to work inside the interop environment.It keeps saying it cannot find the subsonic service provider in the app.config. But I know it is there. Has anyone used these two toolkits together successfully? Will subsonic even work inside the interop environment in that way?

We have a VB6 application that consumes Java webservices with soap.That works fine on XP and Win7. The login to the webservice times out.Under xp the client try to reconnect 2 times (is one call to the webservices) and then ask for new login data from user. With win7 that dont be OK.If the login is timed out, the client try to reconnect 9 times with one call. The code is the same. I trace this with wireshark.

I have a text box which has a Ajax calendar extender attached. You click on the text box, the calendar pops up, you select a date and that gets displayed in the text box. That all good but the date is displayed in mm/dd/yyyy format. Can this be changed?

I'm a having hard time finding Microsoft Windows CE Toolkit for Visual Basic 6.0 for download. I have a msdn subscription but it's not available. The Toolkit for Vb6 is too old to be still part of the MSDN subscriptions I guess.

While the .NET form is working fine in all other testing projects and environments, I've found that the Form_load event is actually firing twice once it's in executing in the VB6 runtime.Not only annoying, its forcing my initialization code to execute twice (causing all kind of problems on the second run).

I am rather irritated at this. I have no clue why looping through controls on a form and in groupboxes leaves out 75% of the controls.

I want to have setting save all settings to an ini file, and not have to reprogram the saving routine when I add a group box or control. At random times, any number of controls can be disabled, checkboxes can be checked and unchecked, radiobuttons can be checked and unchecked. Regardless of the state of the control, I want the control to show up in the loop. But they don't. Only controls that are enabled and only checkboxes that are checked, every other control state is ignored. That's crap, and is definitely not what is needed by any programmer of any type. We're capable of determining if a control is enabled, hidden, checked, visible, and otherwise.
How do I get the controls to be included in the loop regardless of their state?
