May 28, 2007I would really like to get some VB.net program code for still image capturing using a Webcam.I've searched the web for quite a while now but did not get any codes. Currently i have a code for capturing video. In that code an image can be captured, but only with 640 X 480 resolution (Maximum Video resolution for my web camera). The WM_CAP_DLG_VIDEOFORMAT dialog box only allows the resolution to be set up to 640 X 480.

Jul 4, 2012I have my rpg, still, first time working on it n ages, and I want each user to be able to set their own personalized picture background for the game...
each character in the game has its own dedicated folder for each file that the character has relating to it...
what I want to know how to do, is to have my game copy the loaded/chosen background image to their respective characters data folder, and have the game reload/reset the games default background image, to the one piced by he player...I am having a hard time figuring out how to do this however...I've tried a lot of different things...and nothing is working yet...

VS 2008 Multi Forms - Form1 Not Reloading?

Form 1 organizes student information from a textfile
Form 2 appends a new student
I load the second form with:

It loads, cool..When I close form 2 with me.close, form 1 does not have the updated information. (Most things load with the form_load event)This is form my intro to VB course.

Mar 9, 2011In VB 2008 - Is there a way to capture the value a splitter is set to? Here's the scenario - 2 panels side by side. Panel 1 has a splitter - Split1 houses a tree view and Split 2 houses documents in the tree. Is it possible when a user resizes that splitter to grab the value and set as a default? Also, I am only able to get the splitter to be 50/50 no matter the real estate it's consuming... is there a way to preset that size and shrink the outer panel within an event so panel 2 can consume that realestate?

The purpose of the service is to monitor the desktop over night when the user is logged off, by capturing screenshots and saving them to file. Mar 11, 2010I want, when I show Form2, the form1 should be displayed in background. And when I close Form2, the form1 should be updated or starting complete new Form1. I do this but there are two tabs of Form1 in TaskBar. One is background display Form1 and another is updated. I want only one Form to be displayed.

Jan 17, 2012I've been working on this game the past few days, a simple game where two people control different tanks, and shoot each other, very basic so far.The problem I have is when one player is dead. I have the form recognizing each players death by using this code (It's within a timer subroutine)

and that code is replicated for every key pressed (Arrow keys, WASD, e, and end). Those booleans are handled in a timer subroutine, where if the boolean is true, they will move/shoot. (Turning the booleans to false is done in the 'Private Sub KeysUp' subroutine)
TL;DR How do I get the game to restart itself when a player dies and hits the replay button?
P.S. I've tried 'Me.Refresh()' as well, and that didn't do anything

Clear Gridview Without Reloading Page?
Apr 10, 2012I have a gridview control on my asp.net page(vb.net). I also have a "cancel" button, that when pressed, is supposed to clear the gridview of it's current contents.
However whenever the cancel button is pressed, it just reloads the page and the gridview is still there with the same data that I wanted clear.[code]...

Reloading Database Content In Application

However, the first time the application starts, new data is inserted into the database which is needed after. But, the data does not appear until the whole application is restarted. How I can refresh the database content.

Jun 27, 2011iam beginner to vb. i hav three forms,mainform,items,and additems.mainform having 2 panels,panel1 and panel2.and panel1 contains item button & a close button.when i click item button the panel1 of items form is loading on to the panel2 of mainform. my problem is when i click Close button it clear the panel2 of mainform,but after that when i click Item button it does not load the panel1 of Items form on to mainform panel2.

Very rare, but what happens is, I'll start a new project, build my controls on the form, go into the code window and write some code. I'll save this all out, but when I reload the project, the code window comes up OK, but the design window is just gone. The code for the form and all the controls is still there in the form.designer window, but the form itself just will not appear, and there is no icon for it over in the Solution Explorer to click on
