Oct 22, 2010I am using Visual Studio 2010 to build forms to access databases through DataGridViews.As these tables grow, it would be easier to resize the form to see the whole table.So I try to dock the DataGridView to the bottomand resize the form (The other controls are at the top of the form)This works for the width, but the height of the DataGridView does not adjust.

Printing Form - How To Centre Print
Mar 23, 2012Basically I currently have the following code which enables me to print the form perfectly.

However, with the coding above on the print preview the form screen shoot/dump isn't centred. So I was wondering what would be the way to go about doing it? This is using the printform in the power packs available btw.
Also I figured it might be using height/width/location/margins etc, but I'm not to sure how one goes about assingning values to them. Like the two above I commented don't work.

It appears that that only the top property is passed to the subroutine, that is, rowcount and the others appear to have a value of zero. Using ByRef makes no difference.
VS 2008 Form Will Not Resize?
Jan 9, 2010This just started happening recently...If I resize the form, the contents do not change.(All controls on the form are docked in such a way that resizing the form resizes the controls). If I make the form bigger than what it loaded at, the contents stay the same and the extra room is black. If I make it smaller than original, then it just cuts things off.Any idea what could be happening here? It is a standard System.Windows.Forms.Form. Nothing special handled on Resize, ResizeStart, ResizeEnd, or SizeChanged events.

Oct 13, 2009I need to let the end user move and resize objects (like a textbox or button). There are several examples that demonstrate this in VB, but not in VB Express 2008, based upon VB.net.It looks like earlier you needed to access Windows API, but these calls does not work in VB.net. I understand that these call are replaced by "native" .net calls, but I cannot find any that does the job.
A typial example from old VB is:

Jan 15, 2009Within the subroutine, I am counting the number of open Forms and dividing the bounds of the screen by the number of open forms everytime a button is clicked.his gives me a way to Size each video box perfectly according to the number of forms open.This is where I have found a problem. The size of the new window only sizes the newly opened on and will not resize the ones that are already open. Mar 7, 2010From this forum I saw some discussions about form/controls resizing issue with different resolution screen setting. Most suggestions are using Anchor/Dock. My application's form has 10 group boxes and some buttons. In each group box there are 5 Text boxes and other more controls. I tried anchor and dock but couldn't make it work. My questions are -
1, How to re-size form and all individual controls as well?
2, If anchor/Dock are suggested, do i have to use both of them or just one? it seems to me there is no big difference between them.

Aug 14, 2009I'm making a tileset creator and everything is working fine so far except previewing a tile. The way it works now is it gets the image from a picturebox and calls the following code when scrolling the mousewheel. It functions fine but there is a border appearing between the tiles and I can't figure out why. The source image is 32x32 in size. Most likely it is the graphics class not measuring in pixels or something.
