I have an image that stretches to the size of my form so if the user resizes the form, the image resizes aswell. All works great apart from the constant flickering during the resize of the image.

I'm making a tileset creator and everything is working fine so far except previewing a tile. The way it works now is it gets the image from a picturebox and calls the following code when scrolling the mousewheel. It functions fine but there is a border appearing between the tiles and I can't figure out why. The source image is 32x32 in size. Most likely it is the graphics class not measuring in pixels or something.

I have quite an annoying problem and I don't know how to fix it. See I have several panels in one of my forms, all with background images. On the start of the application, the form slides down, and when the form reaches a set value, all my panels slide out.The problem is, when the panels are sliding, they flicker furiously! It's really annoying and I'm not sure how to fix the problem. When the panel reaches it's set value and stops moving, the flickering stops. I can only assume it's because of the background image
View 4 RepliesI have a form that is the main form.I don't want it to show when it loads, but when I do Me.Hide() in the Form_Load event, it flickers visible before it hides. Because before I made this form the main form, the one I was using previously didn't flicker.

View 1 RepliesI have a form where i put controls at runtime. Everything works fine and fast. I also set the doublebuffer property of the controls to true and then there is no flickering at all. But then i proceed to add an image in the background (also during runtime), but then each item i move is flickering even if i remove all the controls and only leave the background image when i move another form it flickers anyway.I put an example below of how im adding the image.

I am developing a iimage veiwer.
1. i need to resize the form to a suitable size depending upon the heght and width of my image
2. their are two buttons one should always be at the bottom right corner and other always at the top right corner.
3. How do i make the picture fade in.
i have developed a windows application whose interface has multiple picture boxes panels with background images for rich look and also a usercontrol which contains a gridview and WPF scrollbar in an element host. All these controls are placed in one panel (this is also having a background image) which is equal to the size of windows form. The reason for placing all these controls in the panel is that the window can be resized, if needed, allowing scrollbars.
Due to these large number of controls in which some of them have transparent backgrounds loaded in a large panel having background image, the window is flickering when moved or any other application's window is moved over it.
Right now I'm drawing a small 16x16 image on the title bar of my window. It works nicely, except for an obnoxious flicker that I cant figure out how to get rid of. I'm simply drawing the image like this:

Its repainting the entire title bar each time something is changed on it(click, mouseover the corner buttons, etc), and its during the repaint I get the flicker.

I am designing a Win Form in VB.NET and Using Table layout in it. Problem i facing is, My WimForm is flickering every time it is load.
Kindly suggest me permanent solution in VB.NET . Why this problem occurs ? Is it because of Table Layout ?
This just started happening recently...If I resize the form, the contents do not change.(All controls on the form are docked in such a way that resizing the form resizes the controls). If I make the form bigger than what it loaded at, the contents stay the same and the extra room is black. If I make it smaller than original, then it just cuts things off.Any idea what could be happening here? It is a standard System.Windows.Forms.Form. Nothing special handled on Resize, ResizeStart, ResizeEnd, or SizeChanged events.

Does anyone know if it is possible to resize an imagelist/listview image without repopulating the image list? I am using scroll bar to change the image size from 25 point to 256 point. When I leave the scroll bar the imagelist repopulates from the files list. This can be very slow when working with high resolution pictures. I don't want to limit the image size to 2 sizes by using large and small imagelist.

how do i make the height of listview automatically resize, when the form is maximized? The anchor property does not work well with this listview because it is a custom control. View 1 RepliesFrom this forum I saw some discussions about form/controls resizing issue with different resolution screen setting. Most suggestions are using Anchor/Dock. My application's form has 10 group boxes and some buttons. In each group box there are 5 Text boxes and other more controls. I tried anchor and dock but couldn't make it work. My questions are -
1, How to re-size form and all individual controls as well?
2, If anchor/Dock are suggested, do i have to use both of them or just one? it seems to me there is no big difference between them.
