I have a table with 2 rows named timeStamp and value. I know I can iterate through the rows and create points and add them to a list (new point(timeStamp,value), but is there a way to do it without iteration?
View 11 RepliesI am currently writing unit tests for an application near completion (before management looks at it and turns it inside out). I am testing the business layer and a method is set to return a datatable of all "GroupID"s, which are simply an integer to represent the group that a user belongs to.
I'm assuming the best way to assert on this unit test would be to assert that the correct groupIDs are being returned from a controlled test database. However, I'm not sure how to assert on a datatable. Is the only (and best) possible way to accomplish this to simply loop through the datatable until it's empty and add each value to an array of integers? How would one go about asserting on this test?
I'm am creating a "pop-up" CheckedListBox over a button on my DataGridView. The values in the list are going to be filtered based on the value in column 0 of the DataGridView.I have already pulled in a "master" DataTable with two columns: ACODE and MATRIX.I want to call the following function and return an array of strings that I can use to build this CheckedListBox with. The line between "For Each r" and "Next" generates a "Number of indices is less than the number of dimensions of the indexed array". The number of items is variable in the array so I can't predefined it. I know I'm going down the wrong path.

I am converting DataTables to a generic list and need a quick and easy way to implement a Find function. It seems I am going to have to use a Predicate. Upon further investigation, I still can't seem to re-create the functionality. I'm just new to the forums, so I hope you's don't mind me jumping in and asking a question Currently I am pulling out rows from my Datagridview and sending all rows to a .csv file. I now need to retrieve information from two different datatables and put them into the same .csv file I am using. Below is how I am currently retrieving the first part of my .csv file. Doing this replaces the previous data in the DataTable. I want to retain the previous data i.e i want the new rows to be added to the DataTable w/o replacing the previous rows.

I have a Datatable consisting of columns with Latitude and longitude I want to be able to pass through each of those values in each row into an array that can then be passed through a function which gets the distance between each row and a static. In short I am trying to get distance between one location and various others that reside in a datatable that will vary in size. Right now with this existing code I am getting 6 different locations into an array:

If I am on the right track I think I need to create a new array that will accept Lat and Lon from each row in my Datatable? My end goal is to be able to find properties within a certain distance of a property. In other words "return all properties that are within .25 miles of 12 Maple Street". I thought if I had Lat and Lon of a certain property there would be a formula that would give me the max and min Lat and Lon to be within a .25 mile radius. I have searched for how to get a radius, but didnt come up with anything I could comprehend. So instead I thought I would just get each properties (row) return the distance in a new column then loop through the table to return properties within the desired distance .25 miles etc...

I have tried the datatable.clear method BUT while it throws no errors, it doesn't clear the datatable.I have also tried the datatable.reset method, with the same problem. I am now trying this method:

Ok so im looking at this code and it cant possibly be right but im not sure how to do what i want.I have made a list of n points. I now want to click a button on my form and use the picturebox paint event to draw my lines between the points in the list.From what i can see i have at least two issues with this code. 1. Nowhere in this snippet do i reference the picture boxes paint event 2. I do not think that the loop i have is how to navigate through the list of Points to make my drawings.
