I really don't wanna be loading a file in, I just wanna use XMLDocument() to create a file from my DataTable.But, my file ain't coming out right and I'm sorta just lost as to how this is all supposed to fit together.
I am ably to load a XML file (via a filepath) to a datatable. See code below.However, I'd like to be able to load a in-memory XML document to a datatable.

I have to generate an XML file from several database tables. I could use the WriteXml method of the DataSet to do it, but the database tables are really huge and I can't add all those tables in the DataSet at the same time or it may cause a problem because of the big amount of memory used. Then I decided to use the DataTable's WriteXml method and save table after table, but the the generated file only stores the information of the last DataTable.WriteXml's call. How can I preserve the previous XML data when adding all that information?

I'm attempting to load an xml document from an XML column in MSSQL 2008, into an XmlDocument (see code below).
Sometimes the code will break at the xdoc.Load(xr) line with the error "Unexpected end of file and occurred". After breaking, the XmlReader has a value of "None".
While researching the problem, I saw posts that referred to a 4Kb limit on StreamReaders and figured this may be related somehow. So I cut down the size of my document (to around 4Kb) and everything worked fine.
On average, the XML documents I'm importing from the database are 20Kb.
how to get a 'large' amounts of XML from the database into my XmlDocument?

I have a Datatable consisting of columns with Latitude and longitude I want to be able to pass through each of those values in each row into an array that can then be passed through a function which gets the distance between each row and a static. In short I am trying to get distance between one location and various others that reside in a datatable that will vary in size. Right now with this existing code I am getting 6 different locations into an array:

If I am on the right track I think I need to create a new array that will accept Lat and Lon from each row in my Datatable? My end goal is to be able to find properties within a certain distance of a property. In other words "return all properties that are within .25 miles of 12 Maple Street". I thought if I had Lat and Lon of a certain property there would be a formula that would give me the max and min Lat and Lon to be within a .25 mile radius. I have searched for how to get a radius, but didnt come up with anything I could comprehend. So instead I thought I would just get each properties (row) return the distance in a new column then loop through the table to return properties within the desired distance .25 miles etc...
I have a table with 2 rows named timeStamp and value. I know I can iterate through the rows and create points and add them to a list (new point(timeStamp,value), but is there a way to do it without iteration?

I have created a simple project where I have two forms, one a data entry form where a client name, address, city, state and zip are entered into textboxes. Then, the user clicks a button to add all this data to the datatable via a newrow. The second form includes a datagridview to show the datatable. However, I cannot get the code below to work to update the datatable. I have a button to click to check to see if the data is entered and it returns an error that no row exists.

The structure contains ONLY data elements, no code.I want to save the data to a file. I know that I CAN use StreamWriter.Writeline()to put out a formatted string for each element in the array. But is there any way to simply open a binary output file and save each structure, one after the other? And conversely, to load the array again in similar fashion? Something similar to this in intent, though I realize the code below doesn't work.

To repeat, I want to write an entire structure to a datafile quickly and easily, without having to save each member of each element in the array. And conversely, to read the data back in the same way for easy loading of the array.
Ok so there is an XML file for a program that already exists that stores a list of files along with other information.I need to open this file and read the file names and then potentially add files to it if they DO NOT already exist in the file.It is very important that I not wipe the XML file and have to write it from scratch every time.

The project works OK but my only problem is that when it creates the CSV file, columns are not created in excel. For example if I expect the data to be placed in A1, B1 and C1 cells, the data will all be placed in A1.
I have a structure in memory which is working fine - now I need to write this entire structure to a file. The below code almost compiles, the problem is that "mstaRecordInfo" cannot be changed to a string, probably because of the Date field. Well I'm in the middle of making a program to edit .ini files. Although I have hit a snag. I can save my settings (relies off checkboxes) with ease, however if I change something and/or hit the save button again even after the code has finished, both my entire .ini files are cleared (filePath and filePathPrefs) and all text is gone. why it's clearing the .ini file even after the initial write worked? I've tested to make sure the entire code has finished before making another save with different settings but the issue happens again.

The following code above does write to column 3 row 1, but if you say .rows(1), i get "there is no row at position 1". So, in summary if I have 7 columns, and I created a second row I want to write to column 3 and the 2nd row.

Well I basically know how to read a text file, replace text then write to one. how to append text after a specified string (ie, insert text at a specified line, removing the text after a string in a line and changing it without altering other lines, etc). Can someone please tell me how I would go about adding a string after a certain string in a text file? For example:

Is there a way to nest a datatable into another datatable? I know you can do this with gridviews but thats not what I'm looking for.
Also, I don't want to merge the datatables. What I'm trying to do is have a datatable with 2 columns and each column containing different datatables.
I'd like to create a simple application to determine the writing speed. In this application I want to view a line of text (may be more than one line) to the user to write it. And I want to select (higlight) the character the user pressed in my line and to move like a cursor to the next character (or to put underline under the current charater). How can I do that? and what is the object or component i must use to insert the text. Finally, if I want to make it multiple lines how to determine the enter key pressed by the user and how to move the cursor to the next line?
