Data Bound To ListBox - Display Two Data Items As A Single Item?
May 7, 2012I have an Address Book project with a listbox. The listbox is bound to the database via the little arrow pop-up box in the corner of the listbox. I have the DisplayMember set to FirstName, and obviously only display the First Name of the contact in the ListBox. Is there an easy way to change it so that it displays the First and Last names? I can't change the binding because I need it to get the ID of the record selected.Here's the basis of my code...

VS 2008 Display Only New Items In A Listbox?
Jun 22, 2009I have a simple application that take data of out a text file line by line and add to a listbox, and listbox display every single one. I want to display only 25 items at a time, such as every time I add a new item to listbox, it bumps off the oldest item displaying so the listbox only show 25 lines at a time. How do I accomplish this task?

VS 2008 Multiple Listbox Items To String()?
Apr 5, 2010I have a listbox that gets populated with files paths based on search terms provided by the user. I want the user to be able to select multiple items on the listbox, and then be able to export the files listed to another folder. See the attached image for what I'm talking about.
The problem I'm having is that I don't know how to take the items selected and turn them into a string array. Everything else I can figure out, but this one has me stumped.

I am currently working on an assignment called "Douglas Resort Reservation" and we are supposed to select a query from the combo box Guest Search. For example, when I select Barb Allen, I get the info to display properly, which is good. But, I still have a problem.
When I try to click my button 'Prepare Invoice', I want Barb Allen's info to be displayed in my listbox 'Invoice'. But, now I don't have that complete. I have a whole list of items generated when I load my whole thing from my Form Load event from the textfile RESORT.TXT. I get a whole list of items instead of individualized items.
My question for you is: "How can I get just ONE name and person's information to show up?" when I press the button 'Prepare Invoice'.[code]...

Apr 28, 2009I am using VB.NET (version 2008). I have two types of items populating in a listbox (checked listbox). For example: lets say one is type "A" and other is "Type B". Their names maybe same so if the user sees those items in listbox then he won;t be able to determine their type until he click on them and checks out its properties. I wanted that I add each item to listbox and colour them so that blue for example means type "A" is there and red means the other. So this way I will be able to know at a glance that how many item of what type is present. I guess it may not be possible to do that in a standard checkedlistbox. I am also using component factory's krypton controls which enhance the gui of an application. But I dunno if I can progress using that.

I think my array is wrong but i am lost. what happening is when i click button it highlights an item in listBox and then adds it one item to the textBox x number of times of items in listBox. so if i have 4 items in listBox it adds same item 4 times. anyway here is what i have.

Sep 12, 2008I have a listbox where the user can add items to it with the following schema "count, id".I want to take each item from the listbox,use the split function so I can "take" only the "count," part and then add the "count," part of each item into a string.I mean I want something like this:
user adds 3 items in the listbox:
1, 100
2, 200 and
3, 300.
I want to make it,so a string can be formed, and contain the "count," part of each item which in this case is;
in the first item the "count," part is "1,",in the second item the "count," part is "2," and in the third it's "3,".I want those "count," parts to be stored into a string (which will result into having this string "1,2,3,").
