PS: The code I currently has only searches for "Hello" as an exact phrase whereas I need it to search for "Hello" and get the line containing "Hello" (Whether the word "Hello" is a the beginning middle or end of the line) and duplicate it.

Basically what happens is each time it loops through it adds a number to the end of the string, and by the end I should end up with an array full of string in a format like "111 222 333 444 555 666" but I end up getting strings like this "111 111 222 222 333 333". The weird thing is, if I add a message box in every loop it works fine, but obviously I don't want a message box pooping up every time it loops through. What is causing this and how might I fix it

I have a program where you have three entries, CD name, artist, price and it goes into a listbox and .txt file when closing. I have to have a message box if you enter the same CD name. I have a code to open the .txt file and compare strings but I need to change it to compare only the CD name and not all three entries. Is there a way to do my string compare against my listbox without opening the .txt file?? The program loads the listbox from the .txt file when opening. Alright basically what I want to be able to do is control my application with a text file converted as a string or just plain from file.
Here's what I have:
Dim MyStrCmd As String MyStrCmd = My.Computer.FileSystem.ReadAllText("C:MyAppCommand.txt")
What I want is to be able to is use the string to run a command in my program. I simply what to do a Me.Close() to start (thats all the file contains currently)
How am I able to simply just have my application read the string and execute it on say a the click of a button.
Me.BackgroundImage = System.Drawing.Image.FromFile(My.Computer.FileSystem.ReadAllText("C:MyAppResource1.REZ")) 'This works!

I'm sorry if it's a duplicate of some question but this is specific on Vb.Net Regex function.
I need to remove any occurrence of 3 or more duplicate characters on a given string. For example:
Dim strTmp As String = "111111.......222222 and 33"
Dim output As String = Regex.Replace(strTmp, "????", "")
Debug.Print(output)
The "????" part I guess should be the Regex expression, which I must assume I know almost nothing about.
I don't know if that's the correct syntax. But I need the output to come as:
"1.2 and 33"

i have this sql table
Table name: Project
Fields: PrjCode, PrjName
i want to save my Project codes and name to this table, but before i will save the data from my form i want to check if the user input (PrjCode) already exist in the database. and if the prjcode exist it should not allow to save the entry since it will duplicate. (NOTE: ProjctCode is not auto number. the user will input it)
