I don't get the last part with naming the xml form field. What the xml form field means (stands for) in this context?

Anyways i have a working project that connects to a webbrowsewr useing a proxy but this does not workj for httpwebrequest. I can grab info from a website uing httpwebrequest but i don't know how to post to a form :/Ive always used a webbrowser for this but its a tad slow.Here is what i use with a webbrowser:

View 11 RepliesI have a Asp.net Web Project using authentication mode="Forms". My login works perfectly. Now the Problem is that I have a link in a site that is only available to authorized users. It is possible that the pdf file of that link does not exist. What I want to do is to verify the availability of the pdf with a HttpWebRequest. Since the pdf file is only available for authorized users (web.config/location/system.web/authorization) I have to mark the HttpWebRequest as authrorized. But I don't have the logincredentials at this time (only when the user logs in and the .net framework wouldn't get me the password of the user). I have two web servers with public IPs, for example Server1 with IP 111.111.111.111 and Server2 with IP 222.222.222.222. see the picture:
There is an asp.net webform at Server 1. My intention is:
For every http request to that webform in Server1, the Server1 just pass the request's information to Server2 for logic processing and subsequently Server2 sends the response back to client (i.e. normal browser)
My questions are:
What information that Server1 needs to pass to Server2, so that Server2 able to send response back to client? note that at Server2, there is a TcpListener instance. This TcpListener instance acting as receiver for that webform request information from Server1. What is the suitable object (i.e. the class in System.Net or related namespace such as System.Net.Sockets) at Server2 for sending response back to client? Suitable here means able to meet my intention.

I have an interesting situation, I have to send query's via soap to a secure server and get a response back and then import the response into a database. I have the connection to the secure server figured out and importing the returned xml figured out. I followed examples however I get nothing back in the service windows from the remote web site.

ok here is my problem, im making a little app for school since our school blocks pretty much everything so here is my plan a student makes 2 gmail accounts one for school one at home.
in the program at school (client) they put a site request into a textbox and they hit send, the request is then sent to the home pc gmail account and another app on the other side downloads the full site that they have requested and then sends them an email back with an attachment of the complete website, it is then opened in a browser and they have the site, simple idea and it would be easy except.
my school blocks the smtp protocols in vb, even outlook cant use gmail accounts only the schools registered email, however, you can access gmail on the internet without any blockages and you can send and recieve on the gmail website.so how can i use a webbrowser control to log the user into there gmail account through a custom gui, and send a string like www.facebook.com to the home pc gmail account, and then use the web browser controll on the students laptop to recieve the response email through a web browser, is there some kind of gmail api i can use?
I am using a client.openRead to send request and passing line through finalurl.

I have a small program which is a tcp client. I send a string from this client to a device over ethernet (it acts as the tcp server). As soon as the device recieves the input string it will respond back with response data. My problem is i am not getting the entire response data back from the server. (device).

I was doing cross-domain ajax calls from an HTML-only (no server programming) page, to a PHP backend on a different domain. I realized at one point that I couldn't do POST with cross-domain, so I figured I needed a local proxy. Unfortunately, PHP is not available on that domain so I have to resort to ASP.NET.So I built a very quick & dirty vb.net proxy... It works, except for one very important detail. If any of my form fields contain HTML, the data is not sent to PHP (or PHP doesn't receive it, I'm not sure). Actually, the $_POST variable exists, it's just empty all the time as soon as it contains what looks like html code, such as <p>. That same field, if it doesn't contain an HTML tag, will work fine and the data is passed on to the PHP page. [code]
Oh the PHP side, all I'm doing is $var = $_POST["htmldata"]; , and $var is always empty. I'd give an example of my PHP but I don't know that it's necerssary. $_POST["action"], for example, contains the correct action I'm expecting, so it's not the PHP code itself that's wrong.Well, if you encode the HTML so html entities are correctly passed on (not as <), it works!
