I would like to loop through a number of integers to display the higher number, I would not know the higher or the lower number. How could I compare them to pick the higher one.

Is there ANY possible way to do that (replace # with the number of the counter.) I doubt there is, but it never hurts to ask!

To get 2 and 3 i copied and pasted off a word document, and that works, it displays it no problem. I tried the same with others and it just displays a box.

Application runs from a terminal server, users access it with Citrix client. when users run this app memory usage goes higher and hiher and it never comes back. even tough we put objects with dispose and set to nothing also the memory usage is not comming down. it starts wuth 75 mb and goes up to 500 mb. it is a 32 bit application.
how can we find the exact problem with the application. the bahaviour is almost same when we run our development box locally.

Im currently making a tower defense game and im on my last bug for the game and i cannot get it solved. For some reason my For Loop to check if a shot hits a person is not working properly. Ill set it to "For Me.x = 1 To NumOfFaces 'Const for 5' and itll only check the first enemy and last enemy. Here is the code to check for if a shot hits an enemy, this runs on a timer through out the game.

I'm working on MVC3 project, I copied a line of code from another project (VS2010 also, MVC1 if it matters) which looks like this: [Code] Now, if I type 1.2, it's fine, nothing happens, but if I type 1.12 it is expanded to 1.1200000000000001. Both target_height and height are integers. Why does one Visual Studio display 1.1 while other expands it to 1.1000000000000001? What is going on?

I have a few panels that contain the controls, how can I check them all at once rather than use that code above and just change the panel number each time? It'll get pretty messy if I have to keep pasting all that code and just changing one number.

I'm not exactly sure what this code is doing. When I put 1 in the first number and 10 in the second number, the odd label only shows 9 and the even label only shows 10. Another example is when I put 2 and 15, the odd label comes out as 15 and the even label is 14. I'm very new to VB and programming in general and have just started getting into for...next loops and don't fully understand what the counter is or how the loop is supposed to work. I guess I'm having 2 problems. One is that I don't know how to make the program find the right numbers(my logic is off? or how I set up the loop isn't right?) and the other is the labels are showing only 1 number each instead of all the numbers in between on their own line.
I need help with my forms developed in vb.net 2008. If I run a form in any machine (regardless of xp/vista or Win 7) whereby the DPI is set higher than normal then the size of most of my forms goes haywire. For example: I am attaching 2 screenshots of my updater program. One screen shot shows program being run in normal dpi and the other one shows it being run in higher DPI settings. In the latter case the form sizes shrinks and it looks so weird. In some other forms the controls go haywire. What should I do to ensure that forms looks ok regardless of what ever DPI a user sets in his OS?

I have written a program that generates and prints 10 random integers from -10 to 10, my problem is that I am returning both negative and positive numbers, aligned right with a pad of 2, but the negative is on the right hand side of my number instead of the left. here is my code, all work but I need to align the numbers and have the correct notation of negative.

So I need to get a button to take the number that a user enters into a textbox, calculate the factorial from that number, and display it in another textbox. I can't seem to get this to come out right.

The program I am working on uses arrays and a text file. In one section of the program it's suppose to display the most active year for storms between the years 1990-2008. I have a program where I have to calculate straight-line depreciation (cost * 1/n) n being the number of years to depreciate, and Double-Declining depreciation (cost * 2/n) using user input for year of purchase, cost, and years of depreciation. The output needs to be put into 4 columns in a list box. Year, Value at beginning of year, Amount of depreciation during the year and Total depreciation to the end of the year.
The problem I am having is with my loop. It is not properly calculating. I'm sure I am doing something wrong that is simple, but I can't see it.

Basically I have and array of integers that vary in size. I need to compare each number to each other number and display which number is repeated. For example:

The number that shows up more than once is 2.
How can I run through the array and compare each integer with the numbers in the array. I tried a for loop but it didn't return the value I was looking for.

I am trying to run a nested loop; it should call a result from a MDB database. Which it does, when I run the single loop it goes thru all of the entries. But when I try to get a number to display twice it stops on the second entry. Having it display the number twice is just a test to make sure it does work, I am going to modify it after I can prove the loop works. View 2 RepliesI got a quite a big sql statement and I get errors when dealing with dates and numeric values. All of this is in order to copy the data to a new table.so these variables I am trying to use for passing the data:

for the date I get an out of range exception,and for these two integers (custNtitle, country) I get invalidCastExceptions when dealing with strings there's no problem but dates and numbers causes errors for me?
