Jan 26, 2010I have a splash screen made and a timer on my form how do i get it to wait 10 seconds before it moves on to frmmail form.?

VS 2008 Game Code - Sub Moves A Rectangle To The Center Of The Form
Jul 27, 2009This sub moves a rectangle to the center of the form and when it gets there it moves back to its original location. But something weird has happened and the rectangle still moves, but the boolean values dont change. I tested to see if that part of the code was executed by putting a messagebox where the boolean values are supposed to change and the messagebox didnt appear.

Basically i have a shooter on the form and whenever i press the down key the shooter moves down the form and disappears off of the bottom of the form. I have been trying to get this to stop for some while.

Mar 24, 2009I have a timer in vb.net and it's interval is 1000ms ,. i have placed in it's timer_tick event a code that will print screen the screen and save it to a database.The problem is when i click outside of the form, or loosing the focus of the mouse to the form containing that timer/printscreen, the timer stops. As a result the printscreen also stops.here are it's properties:

Dec 5, 2010I have quite an annoying problem and I don't know how to fix it. See I have several panels in one of my forms, all with background images. On the start of the application, the form slides down, and when the form reaches a set value, all my panels slide out.The problem is, when the panels are sliding, they flicker furiously! It's really annoying and I'm not sure how to fix the problem. When the panel reaches it's set value and stops moving, the flickering stops. I can only assume it's because of the background image

VS 2008 Picturebox Only Moves Within Bounds Of Custom Control
Aug 10, 2010I created a custom control that uses a PictureBox and made that PictureBox movable.
I create the control during runtime and the code works just fine. I can move the picturebox, except it can only move within the bounds of the control, which is the same size as the picturebox.
I have a panel that has a label and a picturebox inside of it and I handle the pictureboxes event like so:

Feb 19, 2010Ive managed to dynamically create a form, and dynamically create a timer, but i have not been able to create the timer on the dynamic form. Specifically, i need to be able to have the timer itself create another form with a timer. (I realize that this would create a new form every interval on the timer, that is what i want to do)
1. A way to add the timer to the dynamic form, and maintain the timer sub on my main form.
2. A way to create the whole thing over (dynamic form and timer) through the previous dynamic form and timer.
I was thinking i could use a collection/array to store the forms and timers, but i'm still having trouble figuring out how to add entire forms or timers into a list. (A timer is not considered a control, so i cant use a controlcollection...)

VS 2008 - Timer - Project A References Project B So Can Open A Large Form In Project B
May 5, 2010For reasons that are beyond my control, I have three Projects. Projects A and B reference project C. Project A references project B so that it can open a large form in project B. I now need to open that large form from project C, but VB won't allow me to add a reference from C to B because that would create a circular dependency. I found a way around it, though. I created a Timer in A, and when I opened C from A, I passed in that timer. When the user performs a certain action, I enable the Timer from A, and this causes C to open B for me.

May 5, 2009I am creating AutoSave functionality for an application. Its an mdi application. it needs a seperate form where the user can turn AutoSave onoff and set the interval in minutes for it to execute. The users values for these i plan to saveupdate etrieve into my.settings.
I plan to put a timer on the form that needs to be AutoSaved. If the user turns off the timer from the options form, how would i go about stopping the timer on the form that needs to be saved? Should I change the timer to be "Shared Friend" and access it directly from the options form or what?
