View 1 RepliesI get no compile/debug errors. When I opened it, and tested it on this site, it doesnt move the mouse to 255, 0, 0 (red). it moves it to 128-128-0.

Dim screencolor As Integer
If myHandle <> IntPtr.Zero Then
dc = GetDC(myHandle)

how to, if you have two mouses connected and then decect which mouse moves and execute the code. Like:
If Mouse1_Move Then

End If
If Mouse2_Move Then

I tried with multiple cursors - but only option is Multipoint SDK - but it can't work on external app and modificating CPNMouse, but i don't know C++?
I'm creating an app where I don't want to allow the cursor to leave the form, even when the mouse moves.Would it be something to type into pongMain_MouseLeave ? Something like Cursor.Stop () is all I
View 2 RepliesI have a timer, named timer7, which adds items to my listview, named listview2
what i want to do is stop timer7 anytime the mouse is over listview
and then restart timer7 if the mouse is not over the listview2
Basicly If a user clicks on a picture box it moves around with the mouse, How can I make it so the user has to be holding down mouse1 (draging the picture box) and if they are not holding down mouse1 it drops
View 3 RepliesI am looking for a specific custom control. I am drawing some rectangles to my picture box, now I would like to display a tooltip when someone moves his mouse to one of the rectangles, so a hover rectangle-hover event. Does this sound doable at all? If yes
View 1 RepliesI have fully programmed my Minesweeper; however, I was having difficulty trying to get the same result as in the original minesweeper for when a user clicks and moves the mouse around while still right clicking. You may notice that in the original Minesweeper, when a user does as explained, the tiles that the user goes to will then look blank. If the user releases the mouse, the current tile they hovered to will become the clicked tile. In my Minesweeper, the tile I click on is the only one that will look blank, and when I hover over to the next tiles, they do not get blank like the first one I clicked on. Then when I release my mouse button when over to another tile, the very first tile I clicked on is the one that gets uncovered.
Here is what I already have used. I have the MouseDown event which checks to see if the game has been started to begin the game timer. It also has some color properties for tiles when I click on them and I set a boolean to true or false depending on the user left or right click. I have the MouseUp event which looks at the boolean to determin what the user had clicked on the mouse so I know if I flag or simply click to uncover. Then I have the MouseEnter and MouseLeave which are needed to yield the proper glow I want for the tiles. What should I do to get the same results as in the original Minesweeper with the MouseDown and MouseEnter into other tiles? I tried many other things such as MouseEnter, MouseMove and MouseHover, but all seem to yield the same crummy result as what I already have.

This is the code I am working with...

I've been working on a GUI in WPF which I'm fairly new to, having only used Windows Forms up until now. So far, my GUI is very simple: it contains two rectangles, each of which drops a shadow. The shadow creates an effect of rectangles "floating above the canvas" so to speak.
When one of the rectangles is pressed, the myRectangle.MouseDown event is handled such that the shadow goes away, thus creating an effect of the rectangle being pressed down onto the canvas, like a button.Similarly, when mouse button is released, the myRectangle.MouseDown event is handled such that the shadow reappears and the rectangle "floats" again. This behavior make them resemble buttons. Note, there a reasons I want them to be rectangles and not custom buttons.
[Code]...
If the pointer leaves a rectangle while mouse button is pressed, I'd like shadow to reappear. This is arguable simple, because theoretically in this case, any time myRectangle.MouseLeave is raised, the shadow should come back on, even if it was already there. If the pointer left a rectangle when mouse button was pressed, then came back while before the button was released, I want the shadow to disappear again. This one is what gives me problems. No idea how to do this.
I am new to VB.NET, Now i'm working with Events in VB.NET, I have two event methods, Mouse Click and Mouse Down for a single button in a form, I have displyed a message in each of these methods but only mouse down event is triggered. Why Mouse Click is not triggered? Similiarly I Did the same for Mouse Enter and Mouse Move for a particular button, in this case both the events are triggered.
View 2 RepliesI was wondering if there is anyway I can get mouse coordinates when I click on a mouse button inside a listbox? I know how to do it in the form but when I click inside a listbox nothing happens.
View 9 RepliesMy mouse has 7 buttons. How to make program that will open notepad when I click mouse button #5?
View 1 RepliesI'm currently debugging a form that sets a flag when the mouse button is pressed, then clears the flag when the mouse button is released. As long as the mouse button is pressed, the user can move the mouse around and a few things happen depending on where they move. One of the things that happens is that a timer starts, or stops, and a few things change color depending on the mouse position. The timer starts when it should, then stops when it should, but once stopped, it is not re-starting when it should. I can verify that MouseMove events are getting through, because coloring changes as I move the mouse, as it should. This would be a simple thing to debug...except that it requires the darn mouse button to be down, and it uses the mouse move event. Anybody who has put a breakpoint in a mouse move event handler knows the issue: There are THOUSANDS of them. Worse yet, since the mouse button is necessary for switching to the IDE, as well as setting a breakpoint (technically, a keyboard shortcut could do this if I could shift focus), I can't wait for the problem to happen, then switch to the IDE and set a breakpoint to see what is happening then.Does anybody have any tips or techniques for debugging in mouse move events when the mouse button is down and has to stay that way? As it is, I'm going to have to write some funky code into the method just so that I have a place to get a breakpoint when I need it without breaking on every one of the mouse move events.
View 7 RepliesI insert a text box into form1. I move the mouse pointer on top of the text box. I press down on the left mouse button and begin to drag the text box. The problem is when I let go of the mouse button the text box is not dropped. it remain floating around. My only way out of this is to press the escape key which places the text bnox bak to its original location. Thinking that it might be my mouse I tested it in Power point and everything works correctly.
View 2 RepliesIs it possible with API to see what file is being clicked on with the mouse globally?
Ex: On desktop(or anywhere), mouse clicks a folder/file. <The below part would be easy, considering I would already have the above> Usage - A label generates the folder name/file name.
I thought maybe that the DragQueryFile Function would suffice. But, I think that is geared towards a drag and drop operation from with in a .net form.
I want to display a help message when a user hovers their mouse over a button.I think I need to use the mousehover event. What's the syntax for this event.
View 3 RepliesI have quite an annoying problem and I don't know how to fix it. See I have several panels in one of my forms, all with background images. On the start of the application, the form slides down, and when the form reaches a set value, all my panels slide out.The problem is, when the panels are sliding, they flicker furiously! It's really annoying and I'm not sure how to fix the problem. When the panel reaches it's set value and stops moving, the flickering stops. I can only assume it's because of the background image
View 4 RepliesAs can be seen in the image, the X has 2 branches of moves (arrows), it can capture the Os by leaping on them (marked yellow), and I am not sure how to store such branches of moves/captures.
View 9 RepliesI created a custom control that uses a PictureBox and made that PictureBox movable.
I create the control during runtime and the code works just fine. I can move the picturebox, except it can only move within the bounds of the control, which is the same size as the picturebox.
I have a panel that has a label and a picturebox inside of it and I handle the pictureboxes event like so:

I have a splash screen made and a timer on my form how do i get it to wait 10 seconds before it moves on to frmmail form.?
View 5 RepliesThis sub moves a rectangle to the center of the form and when it gets there it moves back to its original location. But something weird has happened and the rectangle still moves, but the boolean values dont change. I tested to see if that part of the code was executed by putting a messagebox where the boolean values are supposed to change and the messagebox didnt appear.
Here is the sub:
Public Sub Start()
Dim Energy As New PictureBox
_IsMoving = True 'here is the boolean values along with some other variables

If I put this code in the form, the mouse will be moved once. I want it to "freeze" the mouse at the point that its moved at. If I put code in timer (which it is now), the mouse will keep searching for the color, so the mouse moves around like crazy. How do I change my code so that it will "freeze" the mouse once it finds the color? [Code]
View 11 RepliesI have a Richtextbox and I would Like the user of the program to be able to drag and drog the richtextbox in other specified places in the program.
I have this very basic
Private blnLifting As Boolean = False
Private Sub richTextBox4_MouseDown(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.Windows.Forms.MouseEventArgs) Handles RichTextBox4.MouseDown
[Code]....
Firstly its very inaccurate. I want it so the Richtextbox moves with the mouse and not after the mouse. So I want a smooth drag and drog.
So I don't know if this is the wrong code for something that I want perfect like that.
Secondly I dont know if its possible but I would like it so the box can only be dropped in certain area's in my program and if there is a box already occupying that space, It goes back to where it was before.
I am trying to simulate a mouse click on a webBrowser at certain coords in the webBrowser WITHOUT using the persons mouse in any shape or form becuase I want to be able to run the program, minimize it and do other things whilst the program clicks in certain coords in a webBrowser.
View 35 RepliesI have defined a class which inherits PictureBox-component.In this class I have a mouseClick and mouseDoubleClick events overridden. On mouseClick the image is selected. Now if user click it again, it is delesected. The mouseDoubleClick event starts the video which this picture is pointing to.Now the problem is that when user doubleclicks the pictureBox it actually calls the mouseClick-event twice (select-deselect) and does not call the mouseDoubleClick-event. How can I define it so that if mouseclicks are done as doubleclicks then doubleClick-event is called, not the click event twice?
View 2 RepliesI am creating an application and am very new to VB. I have 4 buttons on my form which is like my applications main menu. I would like that each of the buttons behaves in the following way when there is a mouse rollover: The Button back color is changed from the default to Red The Button text is changed to Blue, Bold, and increases in font size I would also like all the buttons to go back to their initial state when the mouse leaves.
Another thing, instead of me writing code for each of the buttons event handlers (Mouse Hovers, and Mouse Leaves) is there a way I can write this code once, maybe as a function and then always call it for any button that I create from here on so that any new buttons take on this behaviour.
How do i get the name of a control (in this case a button) the mouse is hovering over? i have a toolstrip, and the buttons are created dynamically. when i hover the mouse over the button, i want the name of that button to appear in a text box.
maybe something like this...
Code:
Private Sub ToolStrip1_MouseHover(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles ToolStrip1.MouseHover
[Code]....
i got a form with 10 button and i want to get the button name of the mouse click in a string variable
i tried this:
private void Button_Click(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e)
{
[code].....
