1.prompt a text string in 0 to 20 characters and then pass it as a input parameter to a Boolean-valued Function to check if the string is symmetric or not. Display the result.
2.The Einstein's equation E=mc2 relates three variables, E, m, and c. create four TextBoxes, two for the names of variables (E, m, c) and the other two for the values of corresponding variables. Based on the entered names and values, calculate and display the unknown variable in another TextBox.

So I need to get a button to take the number that a user enters into a textbox, calculate the factorial from that number, and display it in another textbox. I can't seem to get this to come out right.
Here's some of the code I've been playing with.

Does variable total have to be converted back to string ie..Cstr(total) in order for the result of total to be displayed in the text box txtdisplay? I notice It will work if I convert it to string or If I leave total a double it will still display the result as a double. what is the correct programming practice? [code]

Using Access 2003 and VB code, I have created a form with a number of labels. The labels will display an employee's names. I have named the labels name1, name2, name3...etc. Using an ADO data set and DCount I have determined the number of names in an Access table (the number of names can vary). What I want to do is for each record in succession to pick the first name and surname from the data set , combine them into a full name (this part has been successful), and then set the full name into the label caption in succession. Example: full name 1 into name1, full name 2 into name2, full name 3 into name3... until all names appear as labels on the form.
I created a counter to and a variable to increment the label number but when I address the caption property of the variable containing the new label (e.g. name1, name2..etc.) it throws an errer at runtime. Here is the code:

I'm developing a program at the moment and I'm trying to add the capability to add a texbox everytime you click a button. This is simple other than I'm trying to be efficiant as possible, so I made a sub that creates the textbox and the button calls the sub. Here is where it gets tricky I want the new textbox to move just below the previouse textbox, I'm not sure how to do this since Im only really createing one textbox over and over and having a variable name it by one. This souds confusing I know, but check out my code and it will make since. I am creating an application which requires I enter an amount into a TextBox. This amount is the amount of money I plan to deposit into a bank account. I would like to find a way to get the TextBox to display the number entered in a currency format after the user has tabbed or clicked the next field.
Example: Type 10000 into the TextBox and press tab or click another field.TextBox automatically changes to display the 10000 to $10,000.00.

In my form I have Gross Earnings Calculated. Then that goes to a label. I then click a button to Clear Current Employee. Then I can input another employees info to get that employees Gross Earnings. Well when I click View Summary I want to display a Total Gross Earnings. The Total Gross Earnings should be a Total of all Employees Gross Earnings.

It is a cashier change return where the user enter the amount owed and the amount paid and when he/she press calculate the program should display the change due as well as the number of Dollars, Quarters, Dimes, Nickels, and pennies returned to the customer. How do I calculate the difference between two dates to display as a number in days?I have 2 text boxes (txtHStart_Date & txtHEnd_Date) I have used an Ajax Calendar Extender to enter the dates in each of these text boxes.I would like to get the difference between these two dates to show in a seperate text box (txtNoOfDays)
I've seen the timespan function but can seem to get this to work. I'm not to sure how to declare the text boxes as the dates I would the calculation to be made from
