How to fix unwanted space added between grid and right form side,as in last image (1280x1024) ?
Here are my two grids -- they are ExtJs grids however we wrap the declarations in vb.net code:

Im creating a space invaders game that has a group of "invaders" moving side to side and when i shoot one it gets destroyed, my invaders are in an array. So in order for the invaders to keep moving right until they get to the edge, i made a function that detects which invader is right most. But this was crudly done as I wa trying to make the opposite of my left most function which works. So my rightmost function dosent work

developed my app on a Vista laptop and deployed it on an XP desktop. When deployed the Form and even some controls are resized so text and portions of controls are not visible.Next I moved the project files and VB to the XP desktop and published the application on that machine. Same result, in fact the sizes were changed within the properties of the forms and controls within the project files
View 14 RepliesI've got a asp.net gridview and inside of the grid view I have a check box at the header of the grid view like so: [Code] This gives me a nice little check box at the top of the grid view, the event OnCheckedChanged calls a function called SelectAllRows that looks like this: [Code] So if I click this header checkbox it checks all of the items in the gridview, and if I uncheck it, it unchecks all the items in the gridview. This works fine...but what doesn't seem to work is if the page loads up and I check the grid view header checkbox to true and it selects all the items in the gridview, then i click a button such as a DELETE button that calls some server side code. That code simply loops through the grid view and checks if the checkbox has been checked, if it is it calls code to delete an item.

View 3 Repliesis there any way to stretch a datagrid's control columns so they would take all the space width of the form?I can set datagrid's dock property to bottom so it will take all the bottom by height but the right side of the data grid will stay empty which is not good.If I set datagrid's dock property to right it jumps all over the form...So I need a way to fill up my datagrid's bottom and right (width) side so I would not have empty space.

When opened in some HEX editor, test.txt begins with 3 unwanted characters - ASCII values: EF BB BF. Notepad isn't showing them.
I tried using the web browser control for the first time.The problem I had was that the size of the web browser defaulted to the size of the form. Even when I tried to downsize the webbrowser ( via properties ) it still filled the entire form. I also tried to drastically increase the size of the form( again via the form's properties ), the web browser still filled the entire form. how to create a form where the web browser only takes up half the space of the form.

What I would love to do is build my own custom progress indicator on the client showing how far a server side code has progressed. I need to send back the id, the old value from _1 and the new value from _0 back to the server. What is the best way to format this data so I can easily extract the data from the server side so I can easily email someone for example to let them know which textboxes have changed, what the old values were, and what the new values are
At the serverside level, I am using .NET-3.5 (VB). I know how to send the data bacl. and how to email the data, I just wanted to know how to best format the data at clientside before sending it back. I could have upto 50 sets of id, old, and new values to send back. Sorry for not making that clear earlier.

I'm working on a 2d game. making a button that can move in a path random up,down, side -side, etc. in a selected space. and once hits end of the form to slide out and reappear at other side of the selected space and do same thing over.

However I would like to display the child list view in the right column beside the parent list view.
To do this it seems I must somehow generate from the code behind page a new row in the table every time the parent Listview displays a record of its data and then some column HTML so the first child list view will appear in the right hand column.
I'm trying to, from a client-side piece, call off to a server-side piece. I need to do this synchronously. On my server-side code, though, I'm calling off to another piece of code, which I want to have a maximum of, say, 10 seconds to return a value. If I don't have a response within 10 seconds, I want to force my own server piece to set my result equal to 0, and return to the client.

I realize this code is not functional. The problem is that I'm unsure how I would go about getting back into GetWebResult to set the appropriate return values before it is sent back to the client.
I am struckup with a problem from last two days. I am creating a web application using VB.NET, Ajax & RAD Controls. When user clicks on a button I want to open a RAD Window and show the list of ledgers available to the user, so that he can select one from the list. I add an option to a select with jQuery. When I save with an asp button, I don't see the changes on the server side in the click event.
And the HTML is all correct after I add the option.
Is it a coding problem or I don't understand something?

I have an application which have multiple tab pages. On of these pages I have a group box with many controls that do something.Now the problem is I want to add exactly the same group box by the current one that can have different paparemeters.This is exactly the way that i want to add comparison capability between to set of parameters.I have more than 500 lines of code that responde to changes of these parameters and does something.Is there any way to replicate the the whole gropbox and use the same code for both and and being able to difrentiate between gropboxes.I think there was an array control in vb 6 but I am not sure if this the best way to do this in vb.net.What is the best way to do this for the least amount of changing the code and wasting time.

i m using vb.net 2005 i create a window form separated by two side. One side i have a list box and other side i have a webbrwser.in listbox some id is present. if i click a button then first pick the 1st id and it is append with a url and the respective page will display. in that page an add button is present.whenever i click that then the second id from list box will be encountered.

I mean i can do this i can stick the form on the side but all other application are not seen in the full window coz my appz is still on the top and others appz under it.Size of the form is 200x1024, it is like administration stripe.So i would like to make other Winows in the system ended on the edge of my application.
