VS 2010 VB 2010 With SQL 2008 Server Report - Pass Login Information And Selection Parameters To The Report
Apr 13, 2011I just got into VB 2010 with SQL 2008 Server Report. I was able to create a report as my wish and it's vieable via direct url (URL). But I want to pass login Information and Selection parameters to the report. But I don't want to pass them thru URL, So I want to load them from the application (winform) and launch the report in iexplorer.

Jun 10, 2010I am the CEO of Virtual American Eagle airlines. I am looking for some help on how to make an automated PIREP system. PIREP stands for PIlot REPort. What I need it to do is connect to my site, make the pilot login, connect to FSX (Microsoft Flight Simulator X) and FS9 (Microsoft Flight Simulator 2009). It needs to track: that the engines are off, the speeds or takeoff, climb, cruise, and decent. Then I want it to track the time that the wheels hit the runway, the time that the engiines go off, then automatically put it into a list and with the push of a button, send it to our site.

I have tried Variables!Claimant.Value (for a variable called Claimant) but I get an error "Reference to a non-shared member requires an object reference." I have tried qualifying it with Report. and also with the report name in front of it but I get errors with this also.I have the variable CLaimant defined in the Variables section of the Report Properties.

When user will select ID number from combo box & click on show report button it will get information from database & it will show it there in report(report viewer). As a result user will be able to print this report.

Mar 11, 2010I want to know how can I get specific record to make report? For example I have student information there in my program. Its easy to create a report of all students. but if user wants to get & print specific record of a student what should I do? I have another question to ask. I have heard it that its possible to show each specific record there in each page by using NewPageAfter or NewPageBefore. I need to know is there any way that user will select ID number from combo box & when he will click on report button it will create report of that student what has been selected from the combo box?

Then i need to make a function that wil return the name of selected report, or if no report is selected then return "no report selected".After i made the list box i tried to make the function in the code builder: insert procedure -> function. Jun 1, 2011I am using report.rdlc components in my application. I have one report where I have a tablix table embedded in a tablix list. The top of the list above the table contains all the group variables, eg customer name, customer address; the table contains the details, eg order details. I need to display the customer information again when there are too many order details to display on one page and I also need to display the order detail column headings again on the new page. So far I have played around with the Tablix properties and the Static row properties but no matter what I have tried I cannot get the headings to repeat.

Feb 10, 2011In my earlier post I failed to mention that my vb 2010 is the express edition. I know that report viewer is not included in the free edition. I downloaded the report viewer for vb 2010 redistributable and it installed fine. Where did it install to is another question, I can't find it anywhere. when I right click on the toolbar and select choose item, the report viewer doesn't show in the net frameworks components list.

Sep 5, 2010I have some issues with background worker progress reporting functionality. I'm implementing a progress indicator and even if I marked the backgroundworker as report progress (true), it won't report progress until it finish the job.
The code is like this:

The result is as expected (label1 with 100 value) but only when worker finished all the steps. If I'm triggering a messagebox in ProgressChange I see two message windows at the end of DoWork handle.
