I am looking for a nice menu control to add some styling to my application. I search the forums and codeplex and codeproject. I found one that is nice..[URL] but I need to be able to embed a textbox for some input.

In my code, I have a line of code that allow me to display the content of a richtextbox into the header of a datagridview[code]...
I get the information content into the control and display it, but this actually is static (the information), I want to take some lines of text directly from my database and display it into a textbox, but I need the textbox to be embed into the richtextbox.
If my Category and Forum selection is incorrect I am sorry and feel free to move it. I'd like to have the users input in the message box that will show. For example: There is a textbox and the user puts in their name as Bob. Then the message box would be: What my main goal is, is being able to include the users input they type inside the textbox inside the message box.

I have been trying to check if a user has input a specific time format into a textbox.For example
1- User enters time in hhmm format
2- Checks the input
3- If wrong, MessageBox.Show("Need hh:mm time format")
I have only used IF statement with IsNumeric to check for number input but was unsuccessful with various attempts I can think of for checking a time format as I need Option Strict On and have the following error: Option Strict On disallows implicit conversions from 'String' to 'Date'.Is there a way to like check if the hh:mm has the ":" separator too?
Here is my problem: I have a DataGridView and I am adding a new row. In a particular cell, I have to check that the user does not enter existing values in the related table. That is, the value of that cell must be unique. If the user enters an existing value, the application must:
- Show error message
- Clean the cell
- Put the focus again into the cell, to allow the user to enter another value.
Would you know someone do this?

Working with a form that has a menu, toolstrip and Crystal Viewer control. I cannot seem to get the viewer to maximize properly without hiding the toolbar of the Crystal Control behind the menu and toolstrip. I've played with the options of Dock and Alignment, as well as autosize and I just can't get it to work.So do I need to handle the sizing myself to do this and position the control where I need it?

How can I build this into the control in a way that can be used as image source when rendered on the page? Since this will be in a compiled web controls library, I don't want to rely on external images in the web application.

My Assembly name is MyWebControls.My Root Namespace is MyCompany.MyWebControls.The images plus.gif and minus.gif are located in a folder named Resources, and the images have Build Action set to Embedded Resource.It still does not work. I get no errors. I have tried the generated image url directly in the browser, bot nothing happens, just a blank page.
Note:I tried to use an invalid path in the resource name, and the result was exactly the same, which made me wonder if I need to do something special to map the actual resource to the resource name. I got a 404 Not Found error only if I used different name in the code than what was specified in AssemblyInfo, it had nothing to do with path was pointing to an actual resource!
I'm trying to make a main menu which accepts user input and then checks inputted password for validity against passwords I hardcoded into an array. Firstly, in the for loop, only the first password index is being checked. I'd like the inputted password to be checked against EACH password inside the ValidPasswords() array.
Second, My for loop isn't doing what I want it to do. I'd like to give the user 3 chances to enter a password... If he/she exceeds 3, it tells them they've tried 3 times and exits the form. Right now, it just loops 3 times and exits without giving the user a chance to try again. If I put a return statement in, it just keeps returning and doesn't loop 3 times.

Click button Save and I want it to be display in TextBox3.Text as 200@2000 and again I Enter 500 in TextBox1.Text and 5000 in TextBox2.Text Click save button and I want it be display in TextBox3.Text as 200@2000;500@5000 which is 200@2000 is the first input data... and it continue as many as it can.
Is it possible to do this so I can embed a VB .NET application in a website. Or is this something which is more suitable for doing in a WPF broswer application?
View 1 RepliesI have read tutorials on using flash applets (*.swf) in VB 6, but I can't find the same component in 2008. I have installed Flash, but the flash component doesn't show in the toolbox. If this is impossible, an acceptable substitute would be to show HTML in the form. I have tried doing this with a WebBrowser control, but linking to the HTML file itself is unreliable.
