VS 2008 : Uncheck All Checkboxes In Datagridviewcheckboxcolumn Except The Row That Clicked?
Apr 12, 2010
I want to be able to only set one record in my tables as a default value. So when I check the checkboxcolumn of one row in my datagridview all the other checboxes in the other rows must be set to false. How can I do this?
i have added 5 datagridviewcheckboxcolumns to my datagridview programmatically. say i have 20 rows, that equals 100 checkboxes. how can I set each one to checked when I click a button.also i have a comboboxcolumn and only if an item is selected in the combobox for a row, then the rows checkboxes must get ticked.
For some reason, I can't change the checkbox from True to False when I click the checkbox in my DataGridViewCheckBoxColumn called "Select". I setup my DataGridView (dgvWBFOrphans) with 5 TextBox columns that are Read-Only and 1 CheckBox column that is not Read-Only. I use a stored procedure and data reader to load the DataTable which is used as the DataSource for dgvWBFOrphans. I want all the checkboxes to default to True and allow the users to uncheck certain rows in the "Select" column.
Dim dtOrphans As New DataTable Using cnn As New SqlClient.SqlConnection(clsDBConn.clsDBConnections.prpConnString) cnn.Open()
I have 11 asp.net checkboxes in my asp.net webusercontrol .. i want when checkbox1 is check thenrest of all checkboxes will be checked and if checkbox is uncheck then rest of all checkboxes will be unchecked how to do it if all my checkboxes are inside webusercontrol panel1.
i want when button1 text is select all then i clcik on button then all the checkboxes will be checked and button1 text will be unselect all .... if the button text is unselect all then all the checkboxes will be unchecked ..
I know my question reads a bit like that 'how much wood can a woodchuck chuck' line, excuse that... I have a repeater with checkboxes. There are numerous rows in this repeater - I never know how many - I want only one checkbox checked at any time. If the user changes the checked checkbox, any pre-existing checks are unchecked therefore maintaining a single checked checkbox.
I am using VB, but comfortable to port any C#. I want to use JQuery. I have been looking on Google, but only ever seem to find ALL checked, ALL unchecked systems.
I'm using datagridview in my vb.net project. In that datagridview I use checkbox for null value check property if the user click that how I check if the box is check or not in a number of rows and know how many check boxes are clicked also want to count. i try with my coding but it leaves the first line how I check.
Dim tableid As Integer mydisp = New SqlDataAdapter("select max(id) from tst_m_tables", Myconnection) mydisp.Fill(mydst, "id") tableid = mydst.Tables("id").Rows(0).Item(tableid) For i = 0 To dgvtabledetails.Rows.Count - 1 [Code] .....
How to count the total no. of asp.net checkboxes, checkboxes checked, no. of checkboxes remain unchecked in webform using vb.net ?I m using Visual studio 2008 with vb as a language ..I my webform i have 10 checkboxes...i wanna count total no. of checkboxes in webform in textboxes1 total no. of checkboxes checked in webform in textbox2 total no. of checkboxes remain unchecked in webform in textbox3?
i have 6 checkboxes in an application what i need is that: if i checked checkbox1 then the other checkboxes are unchecked by that the user can check just 1 checkbox so how can i do that
I remember doing this in a checkboxlist element, but with listview element its giving a hard time.
Private Sub CheckedListBox1_ItemCheck(ByVal sender As Object, _ ByVal e As ItemCheckEventArgs) Handles ListView1.ItemCheck If e.NewValue = CheckState.Checked Then For index = 0 To Me.ListView1.Items.Count - 1
i'm trying to design a program where I can take all the software that i have and just put it on an external Hard drive open this program at a customers house select what software I want to install and than let the install run through everything. I'm running into a problem with my winrar installation since I have a x86 installation and an x64 installation I want to be able to select the checkbox for winrar and than choose either the x86 or x64 and than it will install. I figured out how to set everything up it disables the two radio buttons until the checkbox is checked but I can't go through and uncheck the checkbox (say if I accidently checked it or something)[code]
How to uncheck the remaining menu items while one of them was selected. Is there any built in property to set for that or i need to write code(uncheck the remaining menu items in menuitemclick event).
I've been creating a small application and now I'm going to make a setup file for it. And I started doing this using Installshield. Here's a prtscreen of where I'm stuck: Since I've developed my Application in .Net, I don't know whether it can be installed on earlier versions of Windows such as Windows 98. Should I uncheck some options?
I use a SqlDataAdapter to fill a DataTable and then set that DataTable as the DataSource for a DataGridView. All works well. Then I add a column at the beginning of the DataGridView that will allow a user to check/uncheck a row for further processing. All works well. Then I display this to the user. All works well.
Since there are many times when the DataGridView could be displaying hundreds or maybe thousands of records, I have a button that will "Check All" records and another that will "Clear All" records. These work fine, but I've noticed a serious performance lag. Other test code that I've got shows that in an unbound DataGridView, even a large one with 50+ columns and 5000 rows, checking or unchecking all of these fields takes mere fractions of a second. (One test with 50 columns and 50,000 rows still only takes 0.334 seconds to check all of the rows.)
In my testing (with my current code), checking/unchecking 500 rows takes 15 seconds. Is this because the DataGridView is databound? If so, is there a way to UNbind it (making it simply a stand-alone set of data)? I don't need to push updates back to the server, so there's no danger in removing any databinding. I've even toyed around with this (to make the DGV unbound):
I have data grid view with checkbox as unbound column and a button at the bottom and when button is clicked i want to check all rows in the datagrid view i.e check the checkbox if it is not checked for all rows in datagridview. If button is clicked again i want to uncheck the checkbox for all rows if the check box is checked.
It's been a while since I've had to add a CheckBoxCol to a DataGridView, so I copied and pasted the code directly from the example shown in the MSDN library page here: [url]Anyway -- the column is added as expected however, there is no checkbox! (see the column "Accept" in the image I've posted). I was hoping I am missing something easy/obvious, and I've had success with this before in other apps so this is becoming frustrating.DGV's Datasource is set to a datatable found in a Dataset. Everything loads just fine. No errors.
I'm trying to define a column in my DGV that has a DataGridViewCheckBoxColumn. I've set the "FalseValue" to 0 and the "TrueValue" to 1. When I run my app, the column just shows 1's and 0's which were retrieved from the Database. NO CHECKBOX appears!
I have a datagridview that is bound to an access database. The first column is a checkbox, the second is first name, the third is last name, the fourth is start time, and the fifth is end time. Is there a simple way that can either be explained to me, or demonstrated with some example code to have the data copied from the first name, last name, start time, end time when the checkbox is checked in the corresponding row? (there are other columns in the datagridview, but i only want the first four cells copied that are in the same row as the checkbox to be transferred to the second datagridview. This would also have to be able to work for each checkbox in each row)
I have a DataGridViewCheckBoxColumn and I am trying not to allow more than one checked boxes in the column. So after one is checked, when user tries to check another one, i want to prevent that and not have more than one checked box in entire column. I used whole bunch of events but nothing is helping me... Some time it seems working but if i double click the checkbox, it puts the checkbox... sometime it puts the check mark on my third click (not on first, not on second but on third...) What i want is only one checked box and if use tries to click another one don't let it happen.
How can I handle aCheckedChanged event for a cell in a DataGridViewCheckBoxColumn? If applicable, I prefer VB.NET answers over C#, but I'll accept either.
looping through check boxes.. checkbox1, checkbox2, checkbox3...... Error in the code ocheck = "CheckBox" & Str(t) as "Run time errors may occur when converting 'string' to 'Microsoft.office.interop.word.checkbox'." Dim No_Checkboxes As Integer, ocheck As CheckBox
Here's the scenario.I have 7 checkboxes.Checkbox1 is equal to "All" where it checks all remaining checkboxes when it is checked. And the remaining 6 Checkbox2 to Checkbox7 has certain conditions if they are checked. Is there a easiest way to do this? Like using a If Elseif Statement?
I have an access table with 2 checkboxes. I want to use them something like;[code]If nDate = today -5 then set Checkbox1 = True and finally allow the user to set the state with a yes/no MessageBox.
Currently, it works fine... BUT I need to type in Glass or Plastic, I need to type Yes/No and same for each thing, wondering would checkboxes be more effecient or how would I do it?How do I even use checkboxes to get the same values...(If I type in Glass it adds 30 to the price, if I type in Plastic only 15 is added...)So if a Yes answer = 20 and a No = 10 How can I do that with checkboxes or whatever...My code for when I click the order button, myAddNew just adds my information in..
Private Sub OrderButton_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles OrderButton.Click Dim myValue As Integer ' Base value of frames Dim myValue1 As Integer ' Glass or plastic value
I have 3 checkboxes on a groupBox, when the user presses "OK" i was first wanting to validate that at least 1 checkbox was ticked before commencing, if they haven't selected any i was going to throw an error up, i'm stuck on how to do this i'm sure a for each, but i can't seem to figure out the syntax.
I thought I could use this, to loop through all checkboxes in a frame: For Each cb As CheckBox In Me.frameSearch.Controls cb.enabled = False Next But it walks through once, then it comes with error: Unable to cast object of type 'System.Windows.Forms.Label' to type 'System.Windows.Forms.CheckBox'.
There are indeed labels within 'frameSearch', but I thought that the "For Each cb as Checkbox" would loop only through all checkboxes..? Following does work, but it seems a bit of waste of CPU time, since it will loop through all controls!
For Each cb As Control In Me.frameSearch.Controls If TypeOf (cb) Is CheckBox Then cb.Enabled = False End If Next How to do this more effectively?
