Gather Up Check List Items And Then Open New Window?
Oct 4, 2009I am developing a VB web app in VS2005, and I can't figure how to do somehting. Can anyone suggest a way to gather up (non - postbacked) checked items (checkboxlist) on a web form (and of course write them to a file), and then start the report using a new window? If you suggest using htmlwindow.opennew, then I need to know what the constructor looks like for that. Can I get btnReport.click in my aspx.vb code to execute before it is sent to the report form by the "OnClientClick" asp command?

Dec 13, 2008I am having form called Test1 which contains button( Button1). When I press the button the message box is getting displaying,but at the same time I am accessing the Form Test1. It should not be the case, because before closing the message box the control should not allow to focus the Test1. But in my case the control is allowing to focus the Test1(form) before closing the message box.

VS 2010 MsgBox That Goes Away If Not Addressed?
Apr 28, 2010I'd like to display a form with some information on it (i.e. this is what's happening now inside the program) and essentially two buttons, "dismiss" and "halt" that would either close the form & continue processing, or tell the code to stop right away.
I can do all of that, no problem. What I ALSO want, though, is that if NO button is pressed within 5 seconds, then the "dismiss" option happens automatically. That way if I'm away from my desk, I can see what was happening from the logs, and the processing doesn't pause until I get back. But at the same time, if I DO happen to be watching the screen & see something I want to investigate, I can halt things right now.

Jun 13, 2012I have what might just be the most retarded problem ever...the thing is, I have this loop, and it runs just fine(except for the boringness it is to run it) if I use Msgbox("whatever") after some of its lines. But it won't run otherwise...I guess it has to do with the time my local server takes to awnser, but I tried System.Threading.Thread.Sleep() up to 10000 and nothing worked...even tough it did on msgbox's which I went trough faster than those. I am building a very basic local program to test my website for vulnerabilities,a s you can probably figure by the code.
Also, how can I clean Webbrowser1 cookie's?

VS 2010 Script Only Works When Use MsgBox()

When I run it, it works because I have MsgBox() in there (at the end of the script). As soon as I remove MsgBox() it stops working properly, why?
What it should do: When the program loads, it will call my sub, the sub will check to see if the two files exist, if they don't exist a folder dialog box is opened and you select the folder that they are in, it will then call it's self again and do the same thing. If the files do exist it should continue with the program.
The Problem is, that it only works the way I want when I have the MsgBox() function there otherwise it only works if you select the correct folder the first time the dialog pops up.
Anyway To Check Open MS Word Documents Filesize Of Open Document Before Saving Document?
Sep 28, 2011I have a function on my program that allows a user to load a listbox filled with words that are matched with words inside a databank. The databank is filled with 2 string arrays and file of .jpg Pictures. The Arrays attached to each word inside the listbox are approximately one page. Each page is two paragraphs of Text(string Array) and one Picture(20Kbytes).My problem is this. When the user selects the option print all, the listbox with approximately 10255 words is selected and begins to fill a Microsoft Word Document.Because the alotted amount of space needed for the MS Word Document is approximately 5 Gbytes,I need to open about 10 Documents and insert the String Array's and Pictures into each document one at a time.Is there anyway to check the filesize of the Open Document before saving the document.This way I could check the open document inside the algorithm for 512 Mbytes of memory and save the document before the size gets above 512 Mbytes.[code]
