In the msgbox the LauncherExe isn't changed!?
I have the following save function shown below, when called some tables get updated. Before fields are updated specifically to TblOracleNos what I want to do is when the text in TxtOracleNo has been changed and the save function called a MsgBox pops saying "Oracle number has been changed".

if its possible to have a msgbox cleared without having the user do it manually? what would be my best option here?
View 8 RepliesI'd like to display a form with some information on it (i.e. this is what's happening now inside the program) and essentially two buttons, "dismiss" and "halt" that would either close the form & continue processing, or tell the code to stop right away.
I can do all of that, no problem. What I ALSO want, though, is that if NO button is pressed within 5 seconds, then the "dismiss" option happens automatically. That way if I'm away from my desk, I can see what was happening from the logs, and the processing doesn't pause until I get back. But at the same time, if I DO happen to be watching the screen & see something I want to investigate, I can halt things right now.
I changed my Username on my computer from i.e. "xxxxxx x xxxxx" to "Dennis"
VB 2008 during a compile gave me the following error: Error reading icon 'C:Usersxxxxxx x xxxxxAppDataRoamingMicrosoftVBExpress9.0VSProjectApplication.ico' -- The system cannot find the path specified.
The file "VSProjectApplication.ico" is in 'C:UsersDennisAppDataRoamingMicrosoftVBExpress9.0'
Somewhere in the VB2008 "configuration" files I believe that I need to manually change the old path to the new path.
I found the old path in the ".suo" file. The ".suo" file is not a text file. How can I edit the .suo file, save it so that it will work?

View 2 RepliesI have what might just be the most retarded problem ever...the thing is, I have this loop, and it runs just fine(except for the boringness it is to run it) if I use Msgbox("whatever") after some of its lines. But it won't run otherwise...I guess it has to do with the time my local server takes to awnser, but I tried System.Threading.Thread.Sleep() up to 10000 and nothing worked...even tough it did on msgbox's which I went trough faster than those. I am building a very basic local program to test my website for vulnerabilities,a s you can probably figure by the code.
Also, how can I clean Webbrowser1 cookie's?

When I run it, it works because I have MsgBox() in there (at the end of the script). As soon as I remove MsgBox() it stops working properly, why?
What it should do: When the program loads, it will call my sub, the sub will check to see if the two files exist, if they don't exist a folder dialog box is opened and you select the folder that they are in, it will then call it's self again and do the same thing. If the files do exist it should continue with the program.
The Problem is, that it only works the way I want when I have the MsgBox() function there otherwise it only works if you select the correct folder the first time the dialog pops up.
on my Form I have a DataViewGrid and some textboxes with a save button (they are filled with additional data of the selected row).Save is disabled first, when I change something in the textboxes the save button is enabled.When the user changes a gow in the grid, I want to ask before changing the grid row, if he wants to save (if the button is enabled).I am using RowEnter but this is too late, then the selected row already changed (and my textboxes already got new data)...What event can I use to ask if I should save stuff before the user changes a row?Something like BeforeRowChanging with a chance to cancel changing the row?

The Problem i am getting is that after the start procedure has finished the program closes. i want it to start the the timer and then keep it going till the user exits the program manually.
I try to make a WFA for filling, reading etc. to a database. I want to compare 2 dates (actually 1 date is changed by 42 days) that are chosen by a user through a datetimepicker. View 3 RepliesI'm Making a Simple syntax highlighter and I'm Doing the highlighting in the text Changed event of a RTB and for obvious reasons I can't re highlight the whole document each time someone presses a key so i highlight one line each time the text changes. But this creates a Problem. If someone pastes code into the RichTextBox It only highlights the last Line. So is there a way to get if the user typed the text in with his keyboard or pasted it from the clipboard in the text Changed event?
