VS 2010 Calculate With Textboxes
Oct 16, 2011I'm new to VB and i want to make a program that calculates with the text in the textbox.So in the first 3 columns you put the names yourself and the last column displays the names from highest to lowest points and the rows in the 3 first columns have points from 100 to 10 (highest to lowest). How let i calculate vb with these column and rows so i get the name with the best result in the "totaal" column?

Nov 22, 2010I just started learning programing if you can call it that, i had a class on visual basic a while ago and i managed to create a nice little application now i want to implement a menu button which when you click will erase all data in all textboxes
So i managed to create a buton but although i have found many answers to my question on the net not one code had worked for me, even the one from this forums faq doesn't work. If is probably coz i don't understand where to copy it or i am doing something wrong
I am using Windows Form Application I tried putting the code like this but obviously it doesn't work

VS 2010 - How To Bind ComboBoxes With Textboxes
Apr 12, 2011I have this form filled with data using dataset, data adapter
1 Dataset , 8 data adapters
Textboxes are ok and binding .. fills by 1 data adapter
ComboBoxs are filled by 7 data adapters
The problem is 6 ComboBoxes data is from one table filtered by id1 i.e.:
cmb1 : select id2,content from table2 where id1 = 1
cmb2 : select id2,content from table2 where id1 = 2
cmb3 : select id2,content from table2 where id1 = 3
........
Now how can I bind all ComboBoxs with textboxes?

Feb 28, 2012I've a problem with accessing to values of added TextBoxes. I'm adding TextBoxes in my application using NumericUpDown control (event of NumericUpDown1_ValueChanged). It' s value is 1 to 10 and by each step it adds 2 new TextBoxes (named TBC11i and TBC12i, i=1-10). Pay attention to the last bit. I want to take the variable txt and split it. Then I want to take the first 10 names and display them in RichTextBox1, take the next 10 names and display them in RichTextBox2, and display the last 10 names in RichTextBox3.
Visual Basic 2010 Two Textboxes And One Button
Jun 11, 2011I have to make a calculator for school but I'm in a big dilemma. :( The thing is, I have this calculator with three textboxes and of course digits and operators. There's two input textboxes, txtInput1 and txtInput2 and then there's the buttons from btnZero to btnNine. My operator buttons automatically do the calculation and the output comes in txtDisplay which is disabled (so that you can't write in it).
And the problem is here, I want my btnZero to btnNine move their textvalue to my txtInput1 and txtInput2 as long as they are selected (so the cursor is blinking in it). Now I use "txtInput1 = txtInput1.text & btnZero.text" sure that works, but only for one txtInput. If I can't solve this I'd have to make all the buttons twice. ;( (Edit: If I press my operator button then "txtDisplay.text = (txtInput1 "operator" txtInput2)")

I can generate codes with the correct amount of digits but I can't seem to find a way to create the correct formatting of the number.For instance I can create the number 26253169234 but I want it to come out as 26.253.169.234Is there any ways to set parameters to format it that way and if so is there a way to make sure it will never start with/repeat the same number sequence?

Apr 15, 2011I'm looking to see if anyone has a sample app or has a link to such an app that uses data binding with a grid control and textboxes and is able to insert, change and delete from a datatable which gets updated to a sql server database.I have done an app that has the grid control and the textboxes already and is able to change and delete from the datatable and that action is reflected in the grid control because it has the datatable as the binding source.
The problem I'm having is when the user tries to insert into the datatable I get a concurrency violation error when using the .Update statement to save the changes to the database. This is happening because I don't know exactly how to get those inserts synchronised correcly.I'm sure I'm also doing the processing wrong but here is what I'm doing.When the user clicks an insert button I insert a new row into the datatable. The user now has the ability to enter text into the textboxes. When the user is finished doing that the user can click the save button which issues a .Update statement. That's where the error is displayed

May 6, 2011I have a form with 2 TextBoxes that I want to be able to save to a text document like C:Data.txt. When I save to the text document I want it to continuously save. For example it when you open the text file it should look something like this:

Is it possible to do something like that? A separator is not necessary, would be nice to distinguish different saves.

I am using the dgv to have an overview of the records and the tb I use for editing.
