I started a thread about playing music. It works perfectly, but I wanted to know if there is a way for the song to be looped. I'm making an alarm clock, and if the user chose a short song, it plays once and then stops. I just wanted to know if there was a way to loop using the mciSendString.

It changes the index of the listbox, but it doesn't play the new file. The file exist and there's no problem playing it the normal way.

I have created the player such that it when ever the user cicks on the selection on listbox the player play the corresponding song. so the user has to click on the next song to play the next song once the previous song is finished.Now I would like to know is it possible for the player to automatically play the next song once the previous song is finished? i have 2 listboxes beside eachother and one listbox shows all the songs in the wmp control playlist, the other listbox always has the same topindex, im trying to show in that listbox with a pointer ('>') which song is currently playing in the media control but i need to know what the song number is in order to do that. there has to be some order, right? that increases when you go to the next song and decreases when u go to the previous?so far i have:

Hey guys, I'm a new guy in VB.NET. I am proposing my final year project a title called music studio. My version of music studio is like real music video where we can play many sound at any time. For example, the application that I want to build can create many button and also add an audio along with it. And then, when we hit the 1st button, it play 1st audio. while 1st audio play, we also can hit 2nd button and 2nd audio is playing. for example, 1st audio is sound of man walking, and then 2nd audio is the sound of glass break. lastly 3rd sound sound of police siren play. I was wondering if it was possible to use Visual Basic .NET and perhaps the WMP Interop DLL to get the active song from Windows Media Player, and maybe the playlist that's currently on it? The program I'm working on is an alarm clock, so that may give you an idea of the problem. Basically, I just want the user to be able to select his/her own song to play when the time comes. So, the user clicks on a button, and an OpenFileDialog pops up. The user selects an audio file, and then that file is going to be the file that is played when the alarm goes off.
I'm not near my Microsoft Visual Studio at the moment, so I didn't have time to test it, but here is a code that I think may work:

I created another form that had a pic and two simple buttons, one button plays music the other will stop the music if played and take you back to the previous form. My problem lies in when the users uses the windows "x" button to flose the form, the music does not stop. I have searched and failed and light that could be shed would be awesome.Apparently I saved the wrong file and am not on my VB box so this code is incorrect. I basically added the music to the resources, dim'd it and activated it with a button. The other button not listed in this code was set to "portal.stop()" and "Me.Close()"

Visual Basic 2010 Windows Forms Application I am trying to create an application that will allow a user to choose from a menu option in ListBox, click "Play" button, and the application will play music, and transition between 3 pictures.

Basically, it is an application dedicated to keeping a check on the vinyl I have. When I buy a new record, I want to effectively 'Add New Record' on Visual Basic and be greeted with a page consisting of various forms such as 'Artist' and Title'. Once these are filled in, I want to click 'Enter' and for all that information to be converted to one of the pages within my application.

There are LPs that have 10" and 12" sections.
There are singles that have 7" and 12" sections.
In the 'Add New Record' page I want to also have a drop down list with the above elements in, once 12" LP is selected and all the other forms are filled in and I click 'Enter' - I want the application to send it to the 12" LP section of the application.
I am wanting to simply insert a sound/music file into my program, and perhaps make a button function to make it play?

Basically, the user will input a "product" into a textbox and upon a button click, will be transferred to a listbox. The problem that I have is that I need to also collect a precentage for each product, and using that percentage, create a type of bar chart with "x"s based on the percentage. Okay, so basically I'm trying to have my application randomly select items from a (multiselect) listbox. I want the user to enter the amount of items they would like randomly selected and it should all happen at the same time. I have the random shuffle down but it only selects one song each time you click the button. How can I loop this code as many times as the user specifies in the textbox?

I have a code which adds each line of a textfile to a List(Of String).I have around 1.5 million entries in the textfile. It adds it to the list in like 1 second. However, I'm trying to add all the users to a threadpool to do a certain function. So I try:

The list has like 1.5 million entries so the GUI freezes untill it all finishes in like 5 minutes. How can I make it go faster and not freeze the GUI?
I'm trying to login to the mobile login page for hotmail.com. I want to login to each account, I have them in a multi-line textbox1 in username : password format (no-spaces) on new lines. It loops through all the accounts before the page is even loaded. and when the page has loaded, it logs into the hotmail login from the last login details at the end of the textbox, instead of going from first to last. It's not clicking submit button either, its just showing the username and password looping in the inputs. Not submitting at all. The submit button code is right. I know it works. So thats not the problem.
