Just trying to make a form which is 15,13 (small I know!).When I set the form size it accepts it but when building it bumps the form size back up to a larger value.The reason this is required is irrelevant, just wondering if there is a minimum size a form can be set to and if there is, is there a work around?
View 4 RepliesI am developing a VB application using the Visual Studio 2008 IDE. I was making changes to my code using the Quick Replace function when the dialog window stopped displaying. Selection of Quick Find or Quick Replace from the Edit menu, as well as use of shortcut keys (CTL+F and CTL+H) all have the same affect: the IDE loses focus but no dialog windows display. Is this a known issue with an available fix?

View 1 RepliesI have a table that has 9 columns, this table has about 5000 rows, but sometimes the user need to update the data in the table. The new data is in another table, with different columns names and only with 8 columns, the ninth column it's the date of the update (i know that this columns shouldn't be here...).
So for now i'm filing one datatable (the data come form a webservice that returns a dataset with this table), and after that i clean the original table and then for each row in the new datatable i call the insert command.Is there other way, better way, to do this?

I want to make the WebBrowser auto-size whenever the client re-sizes the form (window). I have got it working mainly, exept for 1 problem; I have a status strip, and the web browser overlaps the status strip.

the title of this topic may sound like a simple property that I need to disable, but I am pretty sure it might be something more difficult than that. I have a borderless form and I want the size to be 280,32. The width of it is fine, but whenever I set the form to visible, it changes the height to 38 instead. I have added event handlers for ClientSizeChanged, and it changes the size to 10, and then to 38. This is only when I set the visible property to true. I have tried setting almost all the properties to their inverse to see any effect and I don't see anything happen.

basically my problem is my program i made is fine on my screen, but when i port it to my mates screen some of my listboxes and buttons are not visable. because of his resolution i want to me able make my prgram adaptiable to specific screen resolutions.

I tried using a timer and just say txtbox1.width = me.size.width - 100 or whatever space for the buttons and handling it for when it reaches negative numbers (with autosize off on the textbox) but its not at all smooth.

View 3 RepliesI would like to make a form that prints the same size as a Legal Form, (8 1/2" x 14") When I check on the internet I see that the pixels can very at 75dpi the form is 637 x 1050 pixels. But at 300dpi the form is 2550 x 4200. Do I have to build the form as per the dpi ratio? I cannot make the form greater than 1612 x 1212. I have tried serching the internet for ways of expanding the form to greater pixels in the height than 1212. I am running Verion 7 of Windows and I am using Visual Basic 2010 Express.
