VS 2010 Tableadaptor Update Not Saving To DB?

This is my first time here so bear with me. Im developing an app for a festival and Im in a bit of a bind.
I have a SQL server database that creating a front end for. Im having a form for each table. Within these forms, I will have an add/edit/delete function. Im suppoesd to do it in the most secure way possible which in school i was taught not to use the onboard bindingsources/tableadaptors/datasets but rather code them yourself. so heres my problem.
Im using a textboxes and 1 combobox which contains the primary keys to display info. When i select add, it lets me add them then displays them properly on the combo box/textboxes upon saving within the app. Problem is, when i exit, the new entries are never saved to the database. This is the same case with delete/edit.

I have 3 tables. Customer,item, and price, where price holds the customerid,itemid, and the price. This lets me set a different price for each item based on who is buying it. I am trying to add data to the price table from a form which gets a customerid and itemid, and the price they will be charged. The only table to be updated is the price table.

This does add a table in the table visual studios uses but wont save it to the main database. This means I can do a fill method and see the row while the program is running, but wont be there next time I run the program.

I have 50 checkboxes for 50 american states. The user can choose all 50 or only 1( so basically any number he wants). Based on his choice, I want to insert or update the table in sql server 2008. e.g- Color = blue and chk1=check, chk2= check and chk3 = check (chk = checkbox).
Now the user wants to ad 10 more states to this or remove these 3 and add 5 more. so u basically get the idea. the table in database looks like this -ID Color State_id
There is a table called states, so stateid shall come from there. so how do i do a loop insert or update in vb.net?

I am having trouble saving data from a VB Windows form to an Access database. I can retrieve the data ok but when I try to save back using the test code snippet below, I always get a Syntax error at the Update line no matter how I code the update. I have used the default Item 1, Item 2 column headers in the Acess database table.

i am trying to do a text file to save some configurations. Basically when the application starts it will check if the text file is exist, if not it will create a new text file. Now i'm having a problem is when i try to append the newly created/exist text file, sometimes i need to press the 'save' button many times to update the text file.

I'm struggling to work with data in VB 2008, and find it extremely complicated! At first I couldn't even get a database to load, as VB 2008 kept complaining it was created with an older Jet engine.OK, I converted it to a newer Access format that VB 2008 finally accepted.
In trying to find out why changes weren't saved, I found a common problem was VB 2008 wiping out changes.OK I have told the compiler not to copy the older database file back over but to copy newer.Updates then supposedly happened --- no errors were reported --- but the changes were still not saved.It appears the update method didn't exist in the datatableadapter, but I got no error messages about that.
No update done.
I've used the tools to configure the dataset and datatableadapter.Automatic generation of methods like update, add new, delete, etc. were supposedly done.Now, when trapping the error, I'm told the update method isn't a valid one.I found little information on that. It suggested primary keys could be a cause, but adding or deleting a primary key has no effect.I can see the fill method, and it works fine.I can't see the update method. (Apparently it is in SQL which I don't know anyway.)

I have an Access DB that lists customer details in a datagrid and in textboxes, when I use the edit button I can edit in the textboxes and when I click save the record is saved and shows in the datagrid. But when I exit the program I get "Syntax error in update command" Im not sure why because there are no errors in the error pane at the bottom

I have a database along with a dataset. Everything is displayed as a gridview.When I run my program and save my entries, everything works fine. I go through other forms and items are still saved but as soon as I close Visual Studio and restarts the program, the items previously saved are no longer available and nowhere to be found

I think I have written code for saving All textbox's, maskedtextbox, datetimepicker,ombobox's ect.....I have a save button on a form called "SaveButton8" And what I want is when a user fills out the form, and when they click the savebutton8 I want all the froms, Textbox's, Maskedtextbox, Datetimepicker, Combobox's ect..... to save to the database. VB 2010 Express, Windows 7 The settings on the main form save properly. My problem is that I have a usercontrol that is changed to a tabpage that I use to 'clone' tabs. Is there a way to save the cloned tabs along with there settings?
Multiple people use the program and the number of tabs and settings are different for each person.

the fields in the tables are all text fields.is there any way to fix this error? perhaps it is in my query but i really cant find a solution.is there an alternative to get what i want my program to do?it is basically entering an ID number and finding the record with the same idnumber and putting the system time on the timein field for that record.

create a form with a seperate window attatched. At the moment i can open the 2nd window and save an integer there close the 2nd window and reopen it and the information is still there, but when i close the main form and reopen it the information has gone is there anyway to keep the information?

what I am trying to do is get a program to load data from a text file with multiple lines in the form "Name, Type, Stocklvl, Price, Location, Reorderlvl" then display it all in a data grid. From where it can be viewed and edited as well as saved back into the original file stock.txt as well as generating a separate file reorder.txt which includes data on what needs to be reordered and the date which updates on program exit. I have chosen to use datagridview something I'm unfamiliar with as I figure It'd probably be the most functional to meet my needs of displaying a lot of data clearly as much as 200 items.

First time user on here, basically have been teaching myself VB and I enjoy it quite a bit! Basically I have a program now that has the File Drop-Down Menu with Open and Save options. I want to open and save in a .txt format. The open command will need to place the text in TextBox1 ; and the Save command will need to take the text from TextBox2 and save it as a .txt. I have gotten to the point where it will save it to a specified .txt file, but I would like the user to be able to "browse" the computer for where to open from and save files to.

I have to create a school reward system. Currently i have written code for creating user accounts and logging into the system. I have been able to write to the file i need to and i have been able to log in. I am creating a software to carve data from an image file( removing data which can be deleted and undeleted) I am using the header and footer method. The problem is that am not able to save the data in between the header and footer. The data i want to save is raw data , in hexadecimal.So after getting the data, i would be able to get it back to its normal form.
