I am working on a project and need checkboxes on childs only. Now I have this
Public Const TVIF_STATE As Integer = &H8
Public Const TVIS_STATEIMAGEMASK As Integer = &HF000

I need to help about treeview.I have a auto generated treeview with only SubNode checkboxes like this;Forexample; when I want to check B-SubNode-1 checkbox, the other node checkboxes (A-Node & B-Node) must be uncheck if it is checked. It might be check all SubNode checkboxes if their state under on a same Node.
What is the best way to clear all of a asp:TreeView checkboxes so that they are all unchecked? I've tried iterating through the treenodes and unchecking but this isn't working especially for child node checkboxes.
I have a 3 layer treeview and is using the code below. I am getting it to do the following,
1) If parent is checked, check all child nodes.
2 If just one child node is unchecked, uncheck parent node.
3) If all child nodes are checked, check parent node.
Code below only works for 2 layers. Would appreciate if you can guide me how to make it three. There are much information on treeview but most of them seems irrelevant =/ Will be great if you can show me a good guide on treeview control.
Private Sub TreeView1_AfterCheck(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As TreeViewEventArgs) Handles TreeView1.AfterCheck RemoveHandler TreeView1.AfterCheck, AddressOf TreeView1_AfterCheck For Each node As TreeNode In e.Node.Nodes node.Checked = e.Node.Checked
I've created a treeview that is going to represent a 'table of contents' for a Word template I use frequently and I need to add checkboxes to each node of the tree view.
Here is some of my code so far: tvwSIGtemplate.Nodes.Add tvwSIGtemplate.Nodes.Item(2), tvwNext, , "3. Statment of the Issue and Solution" tvwSIGtemplate.Nodes.Add tvwSIGtemplate.Nodes.Item(3), tvwChild, , "3.1 Issue Details" tvwSIGtemplate.Nodes.Add tvwSIGtemplate.Nodes.Item(4), tvwNext, , "3.2 Solution Details" What to add to these lines to simply display a checkbox next each line?
I found some Win32 code to selectively remove CheckBoxes from nodes in a TreeView. I would like to know if there is another way to do this, since we would like to stay away from Win32. Will this work under Window 7?
Public Class Win32Functions Structure TVITEM Public mask As Integer Public hItem As IntPtr
I have a tree view with checkboxes. When a user checks an item in the tree, all items below it in the tree should be checked automatically to match the parent. The same is true is a user unchecks an item. That's been reasonably easy to implement using the after check event:-
Private Sub tvwUserGroups_AfterCheck(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.Windows.Forms.TreeViewEventArgs) Handles tvwUserGroups.AfterCheck If Not m_Isloading _
How to count the total no. of asp.net checkboxes, checkboxes checked, no. of checkboxes remain unchecked in webform using vb.net ?I m using Visual studio 2008 with vb as a language ..I my webform i have 10 checkboxes...i wanna count total no. of checkboxes in webform in textboxes1 total no. of checkboxes checked in webform in textbox2 total no. of checkboxes remain unchecked in webform in textbox3?
Been searching the web for about an hour now and not having a lot of luck. Got my MDI Parent with some buttons on and one of the buttons I want to hide all open MDI Children forms but I don't want to close them.
I use a splitcontainer in my programme, along with a couple of mdi-childs. I've got a problem now: The splitcontainer is actually in my main form, which is a mdi-container itself. Whenever I try to use mdi-childs, the panel of the splitcontainer is in front of it. Also I have problems with docking the mdi-child into the panel of the splitcontainer.
I have an MDI web browser and it would be handy if it could save the open MDI childs at shut-down so that the next time the user would open the web browser the MDI childs would be still there...
Is that even possible?Private Sub frmMain_Load(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load
I'd take both C# and VB.NET suggestion.I'm using LINQ to query data. I'm trying to query the parent and count the child tags. Here's my Tags table column:
TagId (int primary) TagName ParentId (int Allow NULL referred to TagId column)
I'm new to VB 2010 but have be using VB6 for many years.I'm currently stuck trying to store the state of open MDI childs at the moment the MDI parent is closed. Clicking the parent upper right close button appears to close all open MDI childs before running the parent 'Closing' or 'Disposed' events.I am therefore unable to detect which MDI childs are open and cannot restore them next time the application is run.Is there any other event for the MDI parent I can detect the start of the closing process before the children are closed?
I'm doing an assignment for Uni and in my VB.NET form I have some checkboxes, I'm trying to loop through and clear them (I have a button which will clear the form). My problem is that there seems to be no property I can use to set the state of a checkbox when not explicitly telling VB which checkbox I want to use. for example, I can go WineCheckBox.Checked = False
That will check the box, but I wand to DRY the code up a bit and not have to repeat this for each check box I have, this is what I was trying to do: If TypeOf element Is CheckBox Then element.Checked = False End If I've tried using element.CheckState and element.Checked and both times I get "Checked (or CheckState) is not a member of System.Windows.Forms.Control".
This is the whole block of code: 'clear the controls For Each element As Control In Me.Controls If TypeOf element Is TextBox Then [Code] .....
I have a group box which contains 40 checkboxes, when a checkbox is selected its content is added to a list and removed if already checked. Now I could write 40 functions one for each event (lots of code) each containing a add to the list function and a remove on uncheck, or I could use multiple handles (confusing multiple line declaration) is there another way? say my list of chkboxes had 100 checkboxes or more? can I for example use the container in some way?
I have a piece of code for a program where when a specific checkbox is checkedunchecked (In this case "Allyellow") it checksunchecks any checkboxes within a group of 14 with a lightyellow backcolor. While the piece of code below does this fine it seems to me to be very clunky and I know it's possible to streamline it any number of ways.
Yellow Check-boxes Private Sub Allyellow_CheckedChanged(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Allyellow.CheckedChanged If Allyellow.Checked = True Then
I am attempting to complete an assignment for my Intro VB class and it is giving me a good bit of grief.
The assignment calls for at least 8 checkboxes with corresponding labels and one more label displaying the total amount due. I know that I am supposed to declare a form wide variable and then add/subtract from the variable within the even for the checkbox being checked.
I get the appropriate amounts to show in the corresponding labels but they wont add in the total due label.
I have a problem setting the checked state of checkboxes in a listview programmatically.
Background: I have a Windows Form Application which uses CheckedListBoxs. The names/labels for each CheckBox in the list are imported for a database. Also in the database is a field which defines whether the CheckBox should be Checked or Unchecked. The program works fine.
Problem: My requirement is to add a tooltip to each item in the list of checkboxes. I have read that the best/easiest way to do this is to use a ListView instead of the CheckedListBox. I have setup a ListView with CheckBoxes = True and View = Details. I have populated the ListView with the items from my database. The ListView now looks exactly like the CheckedListBox and the tooltips work fine.
My problem is that I cant seem to find a way of setting the CheckBoxs to Checked programmatically. Is there a way to do this, or is there a better way of achieving what I am trying to do?
Ok so with my program i'm trying to create a save configuration I have it in my context menu so that I can click save configuration and what i want it to do is check to see what check boxes are checked and save those to a file (i.e. a notepad file or whatever works) that way I can save categories for customers or my own computer or whatever and than i'll just click load and choose the category I want and it will load the checkboxes that I want to install. I found a similar post but it's not really making sense to me. So i'm wondering what I need to do to make this work.
I'm also wondering how i'm going to load the configuration but I might have to wait on that one step at a time.

as a starter project I am trying to create a list of checkboxes with the text as takeaway menu dishes & have labels assigned beside them containing the prices. if some of the checkboxes are checked I would like the total of the prices in the corresponding labels to appear in a text box & the dishes on the checkbox text to appear in a message box. I've managed to code my messagebox output but can't seem to figure out how to add up the selected labels. Here is my code so far, could someone please suggest a way of achieving what i'm trying to do.

I have a datagridview with checkboxes in the first column and I want to do a loop on saving the serialnumber(s) when the users decides to check a number of checkboxes Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click
[Code]...
the problem with this code is that it only inserts the serial number of the LAST checked checkbox and the number of entries of it depends on the number of checked checkbox for example ... if I checked the rows with the serialnumber 123 and 55652341, first the row with the serial number 123 then second 55652341, only 55652341 appears in the database and it is entered twice(twice because two checkboxes are checked)
