Im trying to execute on the click of the submit button adding the text in textbox 1 to the field status within the mysql table. My code is:

Ok so I have a 3 fields in a webBrowser that my bot will need to fill. 1st field is the City: 2nd is the Place Name: 3rd is the Street Address: Here is an example of my addresses: ~1Cafe~2 ~322 Queen st.~4 ~5Toronto~6 So for the city I will need to fill it with all the text in between ~5 and ~6. still having problems with mysql... im trying to find out how i can you a for each statement when getting data from mysql table...i have a table with IP and Port fields in... i want to get each and every one of the ip's and use it...for each ip in heat table and then run my "query()" function how can i do this in vb.net?... i can get ALL ips and ports and put in a gridview but would like to use the ip and display the Game Server Data that my query() function gets...this is from a while back when i made my Game Server Browser and just tryiong to make a better way of keeping my ip and port data and mysql seams to be the best way as its online and it can be added to and edited as and when needed and no one has to "redownload" anything?
Im trying to push (for what of a better word) the output of a button which is in a text box to a field within mysql. I have followed the tutorial on here for connecting to a mysql database. And I have also followed and it works the tutorial for getting data from mysql to a form. But I cant find anything on how to achieve the reverse of this - populating a field with data/text from a textbox.
I am trying to update a field in my MySQL database using VB.NET.....
Basically, I can read the field's content, using this code:

However, I want to update the Tab1 field to have the value OPEN if it's currently closed, and make the value CLOSED if it's currently OPEN.. Right now, it's CLOSED, (I put the value in manually when making my table)
Here is the code I'm using that changes my label based on the Tab1 field's value that works fine... Except I want to actually make it update the field in the database in addition to changing the label text.[code]...
MySQL databases exists for saving values as strings (text only). Is there any way that i could store files with the same speed as a mysql command ? I know that it depends on the file size but lets say that the file is "Avatar.jpg" 50KB... I ve tried FTP but this is not what im looking for. e.g. You want your users been able to upload a file like the [Add This Attachment] button does in dreamincode.net and you dont have any background on PHP/HTML/Javascript/ASP.NET just VB.NET and the basics of MySQL plus you dont want to use it for a website. How do you accomplish this? Something silly that ive tried was opening an image as text then update the mysql server with that text but it didnt work backwards after i wrote the text on the file and oppened it ...it said that the image was corrupted.

What i have going on, is i have a MySQL connector as a resource on my application, and im basically trying to connect to my MySQL server, to either a) register a new account, or b) check that the account exists and they are premium, and login, Now what i have run into problems with is: My MySQL Database Name has a _ in it which VB is not allowing for some strange reason.

How i can allow the _ into the application, because the only databases that don't have a _ in the user or dbname are a) Paid ones which i DO NOT have the money for or self hosted ones, i cannot leave my computer on 24/7
I got a Mysql sql database for my project. The id field is set as auto increment, which seems to function correctly. But on the form in my text field and datagrid i see a negative number, while in the database its a postitive number. I do not really plan to use the id field right now, but when i do it might cause some problems.
Anybody know why it would show as a negative number on the form(textbox/gridview) and as a positive in the actual database?

can someone please help me with a textbox? I have created a new class and require this textbox field within a sub in the new class but i get Error1 'TextBox1' is not declared. It may be inaccessible due to its protection level.I have tried MyClass.TextBox1 = Form1.TextBox1 but I get declaration expected.
I have two text files, the first text file has two columns separated by a space (" ") and the second text file only has one column.
The column 1 in text file 1 and text file 2 match albeit in different order, what I'm trying to achieve is for every field in column 1 text file 2 I want to search for column 1 in text file 1 and display the matching column 2 field in column 2 text file 2.

I have two text files with various columns, each column is separated by a tab (" "). What I'm trying to do is the following:-If the values in text file 2 column 1 does not contain any value in text file 1 column 1 then add that field to text file 2 and add a 1 to the second column, like so

I have a txt field that is used for comments that is stored in a SQL Varchar(max) field. No matter what I put in there it always is limited to 50 Characters. I was told that it was unlimited pretty much. I need to be able to put in up to 200 characters.
I'm working on this project, and when the form loads it should automatically put the Focus on the username field if it is empty, however if there is a username - put the focus on where you write your message.Below is the code, and it simply doesn't seem to work for whatever reason. I have tried several methods of it, and even commented out every other line of code in the application to make sure there was no interference, and there was none. is there anything that could possibly overwrite the ability to do this? Some setting I need to change? etc etc?

I am saving the text in a Rich Text Box(vb.net) into the DB. It saves fine..(Datatype--long text). The text has modified appropriately in the DB.
