I am in trouble with publishing my project that uses an embedded database file. I publish my project but when I try to install and run it, it gives me an error as "Unhandled excception occured in your application. Database.accdb file could not be found." I understand that the problem comes from the missing database file. But in the project I assign this file as "content" and I believe that it should copy the file to the required folder that way, right? I also tried to "compile the file" in project but if I make it, visual studio gives an error.
I have been using the VB IDE for many months on a VB6 translation to vb.net 2010. I have had no troubles building and running in debug,until the message below just appeared. This now prevents me from running in debug. I have not used Publish in the Build menu or used ClickOnce. The Project - application page has "enable XP visual styles" checked. I do not want this unchecked, which will remove the error message below.

I'm running Visual Studio 2010 on a terminal server, and have been, with relatively few problems, for some time. This morning I fired up my PC and over the UK's long weekend, the following issue seems to have developed.I've got a bunch of projects (but not all of my projects, and not all of the projects in a given solution) complaining that a particular file (which does not exist on the computer) cannot be opened, and so those projects will not compile anymore. Here's the error:
Error 31 Unable to open module file'C:Users[username]AppDataLocalTemp2.NETFramework,Version=v4.0.AssemblyAttributes.vb': System Error &H80070003&
I could simply copy the file into that directory and be done with it, I'm pretty sure that will work,EDIT: Okay, now things have gotten to a whole new level of weird. I've rebooted the server, I get the same error message, only now the file it is asking for exists and can be opened in Visual Studio with no problems. another part of the IDE still insists that it's unable to open the module file.
EDIT 2: Can't delete the file because it claims to be open in another program, but I've logged off and logged on again, and there shouldn't be anything accessing it.
EDIT 3: Because there's a wall of comments below his answer, I'll mention here that Jared's suggestion to delete the SUO file for the solutions having the problem (not files specifically to do with any of the problem projects, strangely) was what solved this, eventually.
This is not a homework of mine and i had never tried ms access database with vb so i just gave it a shot. so this is my first time and i am just trying not asking anyone to complete my homework. I have been searching for this a lot on internet but couldn't find a solution to this so i decided to ask this question here. i have this sql code. what i want to do is that create a basic login form where users puts it's username in the UsernameTextbox and Password in the PasswordTextbox. If the the information match then a message box appears saying that the user is valid and if the information does not exist, a mesage box appears saying the users is not valid. now everytime i execute(run) the code, i come up with this error: Syntax error (missing operator) in query expression ''UserName' = 'Admin' 'PassWord' = 'testing123''.
The field names(UserName, PassWord) are also correct they are same as in the database. the information put in the username and password textbox are correct and they match the information on the database. But i dont know why this error comes up.

I have written a program which connects to MS sql express 2008 using the string below. This is OK on my computer but when I try to run this on a client computer I get the following message: "An attempt to attatch an auto-named database for file :(C:UsersBarry2010 vb programsadotrialadotrialResults 6.mdf) failed. A database with the same name exists, or specified file cannot be opened, or it is located on UNC share."
I recently upgraded the MS SQL Server installed on my personal computer from 2005 Express to 2008 Express. Problem is when I try to add an SQL database file to a project using VS 2005 I get an error message saying that the version of my database server is not supported, I must have SQL Server 2005 Beta 2 or later installed. I didn't do it yet but I'm pretty sure that when I open the other projects that I included a database file to it, I'm going to get the same error. My question is it possible to have two SQL Servers installed on my machine? If so, is it a good idea to have two DB servers in the same machine?

I created a database in my project, and added a table and some columns to it. Now after making several changes to the program I decided to add some more columns, but for some reason those new columns don't show up in the SQL query builder or the database explorer. Does anyone know why there would be no option to create a database project in VS 2008? In the New Project dialog, under Project Types I have no node for Database Projects. I've looked under Other Project Types as well. Every tutorial I read says this option should be in one of those two places, but not for me :-( I do have SQL 2005 installed on this machine.

I am making a Visual Basic program that launches Halo CE, and two other programs at the same time. The two other applications load fine but when it tries to launch Halo CE an error windows comes up saying that there is missing files which there is not. I use "Process.Start("C:Program Files/Microsoft Games/Halo Custom Edition/haloce.exe")". I have tried to copy and paste numerous files into the "Debug" folder from the Halo CE folder but there is one file that is demanded but is simply not on my computer. I would also not want to put programs files in the debug folder because I wish to publish this to "Halo Maps."
