How can I know if my query have deleted a row or multiple rows? I have a listview with items. Now, when user deletes an item, I need to remove it from the listview but only if the delete query was successful? I thought of rescanning the table for the existence of the record but that looked quite wasteful process.

I am building an application where on a form is a datagridview and textboxes. The dgv and tb are bound to the same table. I am using the dgv to have an overview of the records and the tb I use for editing. I am trying to query a MSI to get the ProductCode from the MSI so I can later populate a script with the proper ProductCode.During debugging it "looks" like the database is open for read, however if I look at the oDB object I see this "Error = No further information on this object could be discovered" When it tries to do the OpenView on the SQL statement it throws an exception "OpenView, Sql" I believe that is because the MSI really isn't open for read?I have added the reference to the Microsoft Windows Installer Object Library version 1.0.0.0

I'm using MySQL with Vb.Net 2010 and Crystal Reports and to be honest I'm a complete noob when it comes to using Sql Queries. The problem is, I want to generate a report that will show the service fee from a transaction a person made while also showing the items bought, and their quantity and prices, basically a bill. Now...one of those text boxes has a piece of data I wish to use as a variable/parameter in a SQL query to then populate several other text boxes. The piece of data in question is the Primary Key in a Table2. I have tried several methods I've discovered online...but nothing is working so far. So far I'm leaning towards the CommandBuilder but am unable to make it work.

Is there a way to make specific queries from a specific table to another, and then export it to VB??. I have an access database, in which I have 4 tables and 1 query. There is one table called "Customers","Gears" and "Articles"; the last one is the relationships with the ID between the tables from Articles, Gears and Customers, becuase a customer may have more than two Gears, therefore the Articles as well.
So in VB I made an interface in which it conects to the database to show in a combobox all the customers, after that if I choose a customer, then it is supposed to show de gear in a listbox which the customer has, but the problem is that it shows all the gears from the query and not the specific one from that customer, also it repeats in the listbox the same gear twice or more. I think it is problem from my query, but I really don't know how to use very well Access, so I am depending on VB. This is the code that I got so far (Note in my

This query fails on a dataset when I add the rating wildcard. The other two are fine but it does not like the %. This works fine if I run the SQL directly on SQL server.

I have been working on a simple delete and update thrugh the TableAdapter in Express 2010 and can't get it to update after a delete query. The same TableAdapter works fine when I do an 'Add', but not after the delete. What am I missing? I could use the SQL commands, but would like to use the software commands instead.
