I am creating that will use Post Data instead of a web browser. I am new to post and this is my first time using it. I decided to go with something easy, and just make a program to auto login to Facebook. When I try it out it doesn't log me in. There are no errors or anything, just doesn't work. My code is below if anyone wouldn't mind checking it out to see what is wrong.
am trying to find out is there any way to create a web browser in a vb.net aspx page rather a vb.net form. I have looked on the internet they all seem to be on a form and not a website. The reason I want it on a website is so that i can view other website pages on the website that I am creating for holding game information. For example a user is interested in finding information about a certain game within my website and instead of using another tab or opening another browser page he/she can just use the inbuilt browser on my wbesite.
Im trying to create a software which can post into yahoogroups.I've done trying to log in yahoomail but my problem is when I am going to post in yahoogroups, I am turning back in to yahoo log in page.
I am developing an application for windows that is going to upload images to a free image hostings...
I am using WebClient and UploadData for posting my form to the website... now lets take a look to one of these free image hostings , for example img98.com..
as you can see in the main form for uploading there are 4 inputs with the name of "userfile[]" that means userfile is an array...
OK, I am creating a tool that monitors a folder. IF a file is dropped there, it means there is an issue. So the tool sends out an email and I also want it to send out a page via the telalert system we use. The telalert system is used by filling out certain variables and posting them in a web page. What i want to do is the same thing but behind the scenes in the tool.
Does that make sense? I currently do that in a web form i created using HTML and javascript for a web page our end users use to report issues to us, that code looks like: [Code]. Now some of the other variables used for the post are in the web form. But this way pops up a webpage and stuff. Since my tool will be on a PC running by itself, i would want all the.....'posting' to be done in the background.
how to use an http post using this code? This code is given by nowsms to use their mms sending but I don't know how to use it in my vb.net application. Here's the
I am trying to find out if it possible to create a windows form that will post an XML file using a simple HTML Form? I have the HTML page that will be used to post the XML file already created, what i wanted to be able to do was enter the XML into a text box on my form which the user can post. When the XML is entered and the button POST is hit then the XML is added to the HTML page that i have already made and posted to the webservice. Is this possible?
What i also want to be able to do is display the XML response received following the post, to update you if the post has been successful, is this possible?
I need to POST a HTML form to a 3rd party website (a Mass-SMS texting system).
In the past I've done this by forwarding to a page containing a form I've pre-populated and hidden (using display:none), then I've ran a javascript function at the end of the page to automatically submit this form.
However I'm hoping theres someway I can do all this programmatically (as I don't care about the response, and the user doesn't need to see the page the form is being posted to).
I am trying to programmatically post to a textbox on a web form in IE - I have tried sendkeys - but I dont find them reliable or consistent - The code below is perfect - but only seems to work in a webbrowser control. How do I (click a button/select a radiobutton) send 'hello world' to a textbox on a webform in IE? By the way I would be happy to use the webbrowser control (so the code below would work) - but the webpage (which is not the one in the code below) runs locally on my machine (I dont have any control over it) and does not seem to work within a webbrowser control
I'm creating a desktop application that will update my IPv6 tunnel with my current IPv4 address. I've coded a couple of POST and GET statements years ago, but honestly I don't know how to do this in VB2010. The url is [URL] (I broke the url, so it would show in it's entirety). and I know that I'll have to create a string with the information in it. I just don't know what I need to use to code the POST to the website, or retrieve the server response (and place it into a label).
I was looking at the Facebook Developers page trying to find out how to post notes from my VB desktop app. However, I could only seem to find info on how to have users log into websites using Facebook and info on building Facebook friendly iPhone apps. Does anyone have any idea how to do this from a desktop app?
I'm trying to send some data onto a server. The data is an XML in form of string and and image encoded to base64.The problem is that the server says '404 Not Found', just as if I had an incorrect URL, but my URL is 100% correct. I can get data from the server using GET, but when I try to POST it doesn't work.I checked it in Fiddler and it first gets z 401 error (not logged in) and then the 404 error, which results in an exception. Can anybody please have a look at the below code and tell me if there is something I'm doing wrong?
vb Private Sub Button5_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button5.Click

I am trying to post data to a multipart form. The problem right now is that I cannot determine the boundary of the data. The only way to find it is to actually POST some data (as far as I know). The boundary also changes each POST for a single static page.Is there a way to find the post data boundary?
I can grab info from a website uing httpwebrequest but i don't know how to post to a form :/Ive always used a webbrowser for this but its a tad slow. Here is what i use with a webbrowser:
Dim DBSplit() As String = Split(TextBox5.Text, "/") WebBrowser1.Document.GetElementById("email").SetAttribute("value", TextBox1.Text) WebBrowser1.Document.GetElementById("Pwd").SetAttribute("value", TextBox6.Text)

I'm successfully communicating string data to and from with a webserver using the System.Net.WebClient and the Upload method. Now I'd like to be able to upload files from my local app to this webserver. I get that it's probably very similar to what I'm doing with the string data, but I've not done anything with files that aren't ascii based so am hesitant as where to begin. I don't want to corrupt the file.
I am creating a program that will assist users upload a file to a couple different upload sites. There will be RapidShare and Uploading. I want to keep the GUI clean and simple, so I do not want to use a web browser. I have not used much Post Data, but am wanting to use it for this job. What I want the program to do is after the user specifies a file, the program will automatically upload the file to the site.
Here is what I have so far: Public Function MultiUpload(ByRef data As String, ByRef url As String) As String Dim request As HttpWebRequest = DirectCast(WebRequest.Create(url), HttpWebRequest) request.Method = "POST" WebRequest.Create("[URL]") request.ContentType = "application/x-www-form-urlencoded" Dim postData As String = data request.ContentLength = PostData.Length request.ContentLength = PostData.Length End Function

It works fine for GET requests, but when I try a POST, it errors: Quote:
A first chance exception of type 'System.NullReferenceException' occurred in WindowsApplication1.exe Request Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
I've written my HTML webserver in VB.NET and I don't know how to make it read data values submitted in HTML forms. My web server only responds to HTTP 'GET' requests. My sample cod is below it is reading the URL rather tan the data contained in the forms`
MVC 3. VB.NET application.. I am trying to pass a id along to keep track of which record a file name needs to be saved in.. The problem is that the id is getting passed into the view but on post back to the controller it is being lost...I have hammered on this for hours now and I am stuck...
I designed a complicated graphic that draws on a Visual Basic screen. But how can I transfer the image to a bitmap or some other format that I can post on the Internet? I've tried the XAML editor in Microsoft Expression Web but people don't like downloading Silverlight, at least that's what they tell me.
