I'm trying to send some data onto a server. The data is an XML in form of string and and image encoded to base64.The problem is that the server says '404 Not Found', just as if I had an incorrect URL, but my URL is 100% correct. I can get data from the server using GET, but when I try to POST it doesn't work.I checked it in Fiddler and it first gets z 401 error (not logged in) and then the 404 error, which results in an exception.Can anybody please have a look at the below code and tell me if there is something I'm doing wrong?

It works fine for GET requests, but when I try a POST, it errors: Quote:

If i enter the wrong login info it says bad login, but if i add the correct login info, it does not login, all it does is displays the login page again?
I'm creating an app that edit a post in a ipforum with httpwebrequest and httpwebresponse in vb.net.I use fiddler2 to get the post forms.I successfully create the code to connect to the site the authentication works well and i don't found problems. I have a bit of strange behaviour in an asp.net web application that involves the session state being lost.
Process A user logs into the application and the session is set. They then fill out 1 field, and the application then does an AJAX POST to a .asmx web service. Within the web service, I am using a HttpWebRequest to grab data from another server.
This data is then output to the browser.A few more fields are then filled in, and the data is then again Post to the same web service via an AJAX POST.

I have a crawling program that fetches urls to parse the html and came across an unusual error since I started this. For a specific set of urls from a site when fetching using HTTPWebRequest and HTTPWebResponse I get the error The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found This is unusual since it works when pasting it in my browser. I�ve had success using the GET method to retrieve a series of web pages but my new challenge requires me to use a POST > GET combo. I can get it to work once just fine but no more. I get the feeling that something isn�t closing or completing properly. When I try to do the second GetRequestStream() I can see from my sniffer app that nothing is being sent so when the next command to stream the POST data to the request session it fails. I removed it all from the loop and simplified it as much as possible. Can someone tell me why it fails?
Also as a general question is my tack or reusing WebRequests viable? Or is there a �best practice� for looping a POST > GET combo? I�ve been assuming that since nothing in the WebRequest changes besides the post data I�m sending, even its length remains the same, that I should be able to re-use it.

I am using a System.Net.HttpWebRequest class to download source-codes from a website, in an ASP .NET application.
The problem is however, that the ASP .NET server hosting my application is located in the United States. This means that when the application downloads source-codes of a specific page, the page being downloaded thinks that it needs to send the United States version of the page itself.

I'm creating a desktop application that will update my IPv6 tunnel with my current IPv4 address. I've coded a couple of POST and GET statements years ago, but honestly I don't know how to do this in VB2010. The url is [URL] (I broke the url, so it would show in it's entirety). and I know that I'll have to create a string with the information in it. I just don't know what I need to use to code the POST to the website, or retrieve the server response (and place it into a label).
