I'm trying to send some data onto a server. The data is an XML in form of string and and image encoded to base64.The problem is that the server says '404 Not Found', just as if I had an incorrect URL, but my URL is 100% correct. I can get data from the server using GET, but when I try to POST it doesn't work.I checked it in Fiddler and it first gets z 401 error (not logged in) and then the 404 error, which results in an exception. Can anybody please have a look at the below code and tell me if there is something I'm doing wrong?

Session State Lost After HttpWebRequest Within AJAX Post?

Dec 21, 2011

I have a bit of strange behaviour in an asp.net web application that involves the session state being lost.

Process A user logs into the application and the session is set. They then fill out 1 field, and the application then does an AJAX POST to a .asmx web service. Within the web service, I am using a HttpWebRequest to grab data from another server.

This data is then output to the browser.A few more fields are then filled in, and the data is then again Post to the same web service via an AJAX POST.

.net - Using An HttpWebRequest To Access Multiple Pages?

Apr 30, 2012

I'm trying to screenscrape a website that requires a POST login authentication. I can authenticate fine on my first request, but when I attempt to turn back around and hit the next page, I get a redirect back to the login page (basically it's saying I'm not logged in).

[Code]...

I notice two things... first, the ORA_WX_SESSION has its quotes stripped from it (even if I attempt to force them back in between response and request). Also the XYZCustomerServiceUserName and XYZ values are stripped. Other than that, the session information is identical between the two connection attempts.

Using Multiple Class Files With One Form?

Mar 17, 2009

I'm trying to move some Subs from my form file (Form1.vb) to a seperate class file to keep my Form1 neat. To complete my application, I plan on creating several more classes that do different things, but that will also be used by Form1.My problem is that even when I add the Inherits command to the seperate class file (Inherits Form1), the Form1 part of the inherits command is underlined in blue along with the names of all the controls I'm using on that form. When I hover my cursor over Form1 in the inherits command, I get the following error:Class 'EmailSample' cannot inherit from itself.I've never been able to get working with seperate class files right, even when I do it as shown in tutorial videos, if it's not an error like this, it's "btnSubmit is not declared" or something like that..

VS 2008 Submit Form Using HttpWebRequest

The below code allows me to login to a site using HttpWebRequest however I can't login to the site [URL] (which is the one I want to login to). At the bottom of the code I write the source to a file and upon opening it simply shows the login page.

After looking at the source I believe the issue is caused by the form calling a javascript funciton to actually submit the form when the 'Login' button is clicked. Has anyone had this type of situation in the past and if so what was the solution to get the form to submit?
