I tried doing the above code but instead of displaying the listbox text the message box just returned false.
I wanted to select the row the user was last working on in the datagridview. So I created a setting to contain the row index. But then I had trouble using the form load event to select that row in my datagridview. It would always select the first row. I then moved the code into the DataBindingComplete event and it worked like a charm Example:

PS, if you want to select the full row, make sure the DataGridView Selection Mode property is set to FullRowSelect.
I built a form that has 3 Listview objects. Each Listview contains items, the user is to select an item from a Listview and click a button that moves the item "up" or "down" to an adjacent Listview.I am having a difficult time "knowing" which Listview item has been selected. The problem arises once a user has clicked items from different Listviews. Even though, visually, only one item is selected in one Listview, the program still detects a selection from other Listviews.

im trying to get this program to select the first item from the listbox and store it as a string and then have it go to the next item i nthe box and store it as a string and so on , so like i would have it select the first item in the listbox say apples and then it stores that as the string Fruit and then it does something with it and then it goes to the next line in the listbox say oranges and stores it as the string fruit, but i want to do this my doing like fruit = listbox1+1 or something?

I have created a form with a listbox on the left side and several texbox on the right side. I have code working that populates a listbox from my data reader (MyReader). The listbox works fine. There are two (2) buttons over the listbox to select All Active records or All Inactive records that queries the field �Status� in the �tblAdvocates� table.So the listbox works fine. Problem is trying to setup the SelectedIndexChanged function. I can�t figure out how to take the selected record from the listbox and use that to fill the textboxes. Do I �re-query� the database using the ID field from the table? Do I use the MyReader from the form load code and pull the data from that?

I have a listbox that displays SSRS report names and a separate listbox for displaying email addresses. Both report names and email addresses reside in separate SQL tables. This application allows my users to select an SSRS report, report parameters, export method and email a URL link to one or multiple recipients. This part works very well. One particular report has 6 recipients and I have been trying to come up with a way to automatically select these 6 email addresses whenever this one report is selected but I haven't had any luck being the neophyte .Net programmer that I am.

Basically what I have going on is a play button that will play the selected item in the listbox and once the button is clicked then the next item in the list is highlighted and waiting. This works exactly like I want it but the only issue is when it gets to the last item in the list it want play it.
