I want to print an array WebBrowser each time to a different printer without changing the default Printer (not to use the SetDefaultPrinter function) I tried to work with the PrintDocument object(he have the Print function and also i can choose a printer name) but I cant attach the
My objective: Set the printer to use without changing the default in Word under the control of vb.net express 08. Word version is 2000
I have it working, but Through a lot of trying, I discovered that the WordBasic line would work. Further exploration revealed the with dialogs(13) will work. In a Word macro it would be Dialogs(wdFilePrintSetup) or Dialogs(97)
This is where it gets interesting. While Word.WdWordDialog.wdDialogFilePrintSetup equals to 97 it doesnt activate the correct dialog. After considerable trying, I found that index 13 does yield the correct dialog box.
Using VB.NET 2005 Express edition, I have a task to create a simple receipt using a Epson TM T88IV Thermal printer. I don't have any idea where to start. Can you show some good example or links that I can study to create an application?
I'm working on a VB.Net project and using SVN. I noticed that every time I open my main form, Visual studio slightly modifies my .resx file, which means that I keep having to re-commit it.url...
Visual Studio and SharpDevelop do not both set up delegates to handle events in the same way. The way they are set up is a little bit different. This makes it difficult to use VS in one place and #Develop in another (on the same project). For Example, in VB, Visual Studio does the following:
Private Sub OK_Button_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles OK_Button.Click Me.DialogResult = System.Windows.Forms.DialogResult.OK Me.Close() End Sub
Friend WithEvents OK_Button As System.Windows.Forms.Button So that the control is declared, not only with a different scope (this can be a problem also, but not the topic of this post) but with a withevents. The event handler is then assigned to it by a handles clause.
[Code]...
The most annoying thing about this, is even if it is done one way, the other ide will redo it, having duplicate declarations, and of course, compile time errors.Does anyone know of a way around this, some way to customize the default handlers? even if it is just some way that they can be turned off, so it can just be typed manually?
I work with both vb.net and c# in Visual Studio 2010, and something which annoys the hell out of me is that XML Summary blocks display differently between vb.net and c#Opened summary blocks look like this
VB ''' <summary> ''' This is the summary of what the method does
I am currently working on a VB.NET project and the hardest thing that I am having trouble with is that everything is black and blue. Having worked a lot with C#, I really like the way that types are colored differently.
I have tried going in and having a look at the "Tools > Options > Fonts and Colors" and the various "User Types" under "Display Items" is set to a different colour but its not reflecting that colour in the text editor.
We are testing the visual basic 2010 ee in one of the computing suites at a secondary high school. The installation was fine When we tried opening or saving a project it saves it into a default location i.e my documents. The problem withthis is pupils dont have access to c:. They their own drive on the network (h:) where they save their work. When i went and changed the settings in VB in tool > options.
Whenever I name a new project, a file download window comes up. I tried to reset visual studio to default setting and even uninstalled firefox. I'm trying to get visual studio to behave like it use to. url....
I made a custom button by inheriting the Button class. When I double click the custom button in Designer, it makes the event handling function for MyButton.Click:
Private Sub MyButton1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles MyButton1.Click End Sub
When I drag an item from my data sources area onto my form, VS automatically creates a tableadpater, bindingsource, and bindingnavigator for me. This is great. The name it picks "xxxxxtableadapter", "xxxxxbindingsource", and "xxxxxbindingnavigator", where "xxxxx" is the tablename, is in my opinion a bit wordy.
I need to print the contents of 3 textboxs to default printer. what examples I have found dont seem to work. I was trying the documentprint1 component as i thought it would be easy but cant figure out how to tell it what to print the second part is to print a variable (string) to the printer as well.no need for user to select just straight to default printer with its default settings
I realize this post is rather long, but I wanted to give all the information up front instead of people having to ask me for more information. At the end of the re-installation of Visual Studio 2008, there is this message:
"Microsoft SQL Publishing Wizard: [2] Error: Installation failed for component Microsoft SQL Publishing Wizard. MSI returned error code 1638" in the log file dd_error_vs_procore_90.txt.
I have searched on Google for this whole message and found some references to this error, but I have done what they said worked for them and it did not fix the problem for me.When I searched for just "MSI returned error code 1638", I got that it cannot install something because it is already installed:"Another version of this product is already installed. Installation of this version cannot continue. To configure or remove the existing version of this product, use Add/Remove Programs on the Control Panel".In Add/Remove Programs I see these two programs:
Microsoft SQL Server Database Publishing Wizard 1.3 Microsoft SQL Server Database Publishing Wizard 1.4
Are these programs/versions what the error is refering to? Am I safe to remove them and depend on the similarly-named item which would be newly installed with Visual Studio 2008 - "Microsoft SQL Publishing Wizard"? I still use SQL Server 2000 and 2005 on my computer, as well as 2008. I had installed VS 2008 on my computer before without this problem and also have VS 2005 and 2010.
i understand that some files get published to this folder in my application. i want all the files to be in the same folder. how do i do this?
meaning that i want the setup.exe and everything to be in one folder after i have published the application. i dont want to have an application files folder at all
I have a .exe in the mix with my .vb files in visual studio 2010 and I can't figure out a code to run it. I added it through the add existing if that means anything.
I upgrade my computer to win 7 64 bit and run visual studio 2008, When I try to debug my old dotnet application (orgiinal from XP) it wont allow me to change any code while stop and debug. It said 'Change to 64 bit application is not allowed.
WebMatrix is a web development and deployment tool by Microsoft so how is this compared to Visual Studio? which Use C# Razor Syntax is that more better coding.
Just started a new project and was kind of bummed out that instead of creating interface Im forced to spend quite large amount of time creating objects, INSERTs,UPDATEs.. that kind of thing. Mainly because it's booring. Anyway, I was wondering if there are tools in VS2010 for visual basic that would allow someone to generate clases and INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE stored procedures based on database structure OR creat INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE procedures and database structure based on class structure.
I am working on a Visio Addin in VS2010 Professional and am looking for hot spots (specifically around a COM object) while debugging the application. I have found a number of profilers that can profile existing .NET applications, but none of which (that I have seen) support debugging. Further more, because this is a .NET add-in rather than a full standalone executable I'm not sure how they'd fair. [code] Has anyone found a profiler that can be used during a VS2010 debug session?
In the "old days" I was working with Linux to create C/C++ programs (really really BASIC...HA!...programs, just learning to program in the courses as an intro) by creating a text file with the source code that was then fed to the compiler/linker that then spit out the executable binary.
I only want it to display the code only related to the button i double click not the whole entire code of the program unless it automaitcally does this i am not sure i am new to visual studio and programming!
I have to compile projects which was compiled in Visual Studio 6 in Visual Studio 2005. When i compiled i got a set of same error. I opened the project for VS6 by selecting File->open->project/solution and tried to build a solution by Build option but i am getting the following error.
